nooo, i disagree! that seemed so forced, it's almost like she's trying to put on a nervous persona. sometimes she's so well-spoken, and then she pulls that. really? a cough? oh KStew... it's a good thing you look amazing in that dress.
If you watch Kristen's interviews you'll see that she does that a lot. I don't think it's such a huge deal. I do it all the time. I'm not a whole fan of clearing my throat the old fashioned way. I make little coughs too. Hahaha. God forbid, she ruined the whole awards show with her little cough. :O

Okay, I know this is a pro-twicast site, however I feel it necessary to say what I don't think anyone else is going to say. I love KStew and am a huge fan of hers, but the oh-so-nervous and I'm so bored look on her face routine is getting tired and old. I don't think there's anything wrong with being noticeably confident, after all, I think we can all tell the difference between confidence and conceit. If anyone saw her on the red carpet the look on her face seemed like she was just so over it all, and I am so sick and tired of it. Could someone please tell the girl that there is nothing wrong with a full on smile or an obvious expression of some enthusiasm. I find it hard to believe that she doesn't know she's doing it since her business as an actor is to be hyper-conscious of her expressions and what she conveys both on-screen and off. Whew, breathe.
She is always scratching her face or fixing her hair at these things! I'm hoping it's a nerves thing and not intentional. Although, when she presented at the VMA'S last year she was awesome, so maybe she was just nervous here.

I'm pretty much over her awkwardness and bored looks. There's a big difference between "being yourself" and acting like you don't give a sh-t. It's like she's socially stunted. No one is saying she should be laughing and smiling all the time ... but try to have some poise. I used to be a fan, but not any more. Yes, she's beautiful and talented, but her demeanor and attitude have ruined it for me.

It's gotten to the point where I can't even watch her anymore. Whenever she does interviews, I have to look away or stop the video. I can't bear to watch her humiliate herself. It's too painful. The lip biting and licking was painful enough and now this. Coughing over her shoulder? So awkward, and while wearing such a beautiful dress. I'm sure she didn't mean to, but even Taylor flinched, and gave a "What the hell is she doing?" kind of look. She's beautiful but sheesh. She needs to learn how to deal with being in the public eye or just don't make these kinds of appearances. Spare us all the pain.
Kristen is so true to herself and she is 100% genuine. Who cares if she isn't smiling all the time and she looks bored. She is who she is and I wouldn't change a thing about her. I wouldn't be surprised if her "cough" was an inside signal for Rob. Kind of like 'I love you baby' or something like that. What makes Kristen SO interesting is that she is so unlike everyone else. Like Rob has said 'Kristen is unique'. That she is !!!!!!

My personal opinion is this; her and Rob are cut from the same stone. They both come off incredibly awkward but beautfiul at the same time. That's what makes them so interesting to watch. I do believe her and Rob are in a relationship, of what kind I couldn't say. I mean, we don't see Nikki Reed following Rob around the world do we?
Her cough was sort of funny, but who the hell are we to say it wasn't real. What does a real cough look like, huh? She may have been trying to hold it back but couldn't so it came out all weird. But at the same time, I love her attitude. That audience of "famous" actors are human just like you and me. Sometimes they need to be reminded of it. Go Kristen!
I saw all the videos and I'm not seeing the bored, "over it all" look that some are accusing Kristen of having. I see a young girl who is shy, excited, and a little self-conscious on the RC - her very first Academy Awards RC experience. I thought she did great on stage w/Taylor. The little cough was very endearing to me and didn't sound fake at all. Geez, why on earth would she cough on purpose on the AA stage? I think some people forget that Kristen is only a 19-year-old girl whose celebrity has exploded in the past year and a half and I think she is still trying to adjust. She has improved with her public skills tremendously over the past year. Maybe I'm more sympathetic because I have a 17-year-old daughter, idk, but I think too many people judge Kristen harshly.
Good Lord...some of you are so harsh. She coughed...who cares. She is not the only actress that gets nervous at award shows or interviews. This is the first time she attended the Oscar ceremony...give her a break. Rough crowd. She looked beautiful and i thought she did great.
