I'm so happy for her. She is truly talented - I mean one of the youngest ever to be nominated for a Tony Award, now an Oscar nom. I think she has the makings of being able to win the big 4 in her day. Only a few have been able to bring home the Tony, Emmy, Oscar, and Grammy - she has the makings to do so for sure.
I have yet to see this movie. However, good for her. She is one talented young lady!
Oh my gosh, I hope she wins! She did great in Up in the Air.
It's a nice role in a nice movie, but nothing extraordinary! So an oscar nomination is not really appropriate i think. No offence intented, Anna is a good actress, and i'm happy for her.
Congrats to her!! I disagree with Anony @12:39 the movie itself was done very well with a great director at the helm and the acting definately deserves the nom. Too bad the non-actors in the movie all the ppl getting fired didn't get the nom too. They did fabulous for never acting a day in their lives. It came from the heart, cuz they all had just lost their jobs in real life!!
OMG Can you believe it! Jessica Stanley getting an Oscar nod! You go girl!
Go Anna...Go Anna!!....well done xx
@Anon 12:39PM - I can understand why you don't think the nom is really important; a lot of folks won't remember the Oscar winner for this year for her category or her fellow nominees. However, it is a big deal for her career - this nom will change her billing order on her movies, will put her resume in front of other producers and movie execs, as well as for every movie she now does she will be billed as "Oscar nominated actress Anna Kendrick."
