PFach requests PG-13 Breaking Dawn

Peter, you know I heart you, we all do and I get your reasons for not wanting Isle Esme to be too schmexy... wait - I take that back - just why can't Isle Esme be all schmexy?!

OK, so I get:
“I have a 12-year-old daughter [Luca Bella, whose mom is Jennie Garth]. She’s a fan and I’d want her not to feel left out or awkward,” Peter, 37, explained to HollywoodLife.com exclusively Jan. 16 at Lionsgate’s pre-Golden Globes party. “Hopefully it’s a PG-13 type of situation,” he added. “I’m sure the producers and directors know what they want—and especially what they are doing—but I’m sure they don’t want to alienate fans.”

I'm not asking for anything R-rated here but if your girls have read the books they must have a basic understanding of the birds 'n' the bees, ifyouknowwhatImean....

After 3 books and movies worth of build-up, too much "Robsten watch" and a hella load of fanfic, don't we all need a lil somethin'somethin'?

  1. To everyone who's under age. Just close your eyes when the scene comes up. There you go. Easy! In that way, we're both happy. :)

  2. You know they will not alianate the teenage audience. It is the largest part of the fan base that brings in the money. Unfortunately, I think they will take a scene only so far and then fade away to let the imagination take over:) I would think it would be harder for the birth of Nessie and Bella's death, if they did it like the book it would be R-rated, but again you know they won't; they'll show Bella going into labor and Edward biting her cleanly- then do some stupid thing inside Bella's head while she transforms. The scenes will be short, choppy and not like the visions in the book:(( Just my opinion. I'm done for today- gotta go to work:))

  3. I've got it! If they do release it as PG-13 they should have the sexy deleted scenes on the DVD for us grown-ups :)

  5. they cannot just have a tragic fade to black like the one in the book. Hey, where's CH when we need her?.. if she got one thing right, it was Edward and Bella's intimate scenes in Twilight. I say she should direct JUST isle esme! (I'm joking of course..)
And 12 year olds are plenty mature these days. I don't see why a scene like this would make them "alienated".. gahh.

  6. Okay, once again here we go with the kid thing >.> I understand what the parents are saying but come on LoL. We need something, I don't mean nasty but something LoL. If the kids have read the books, then they get it. Just PLEASE give us something LoL ^.^
I agree with Mrs. Pattinson and Juju, both sound like great ideas ;)

  7. I'm a 43-yr-old adult and I want it PG-13. If it's R I'm not seeing it. Yes, I'm a huge fan. Read the books multiple times, watched both movies multiple times. But old movies that fade to black are much sexier movies to me than the ones they make today. I don't need to see it to know what's going on. Even when it's a Twilight movie I won't see it.

  8. Okay, PFach, second chapter starts with Bella and Edward laying in bed together, making out and all hot and bothered. Edward says to her, "I can't think when I'm with you like this." Like what, hmmmm, half naked sparkly Edward? There is so much sexuality at this point of the story that maybe Summit should think about rated R. Not that they will, but I swear if they water BD down, skimming over the parts that make it hot and steamy, I'm gonna let loose the scream heard round the world!

  10. Well anyone remember Titanic...PG-13 and whoa. Plus I think I was 10 when I saw that movie. Honestly, not scared for life lol. Though, if my mom knew that was going to be in there when we saw it she probably wouldn't have let me see it. Anyway, my point is that they can show less than what was shown in Titanic but still please everyone. DVD extras maybe??

  12. You know, the Note Book was PG-13 and that was some steamy stuff but tastefully done. If they can kind of keep it in that direction that would be good. I, like many of you, will be very upset if they water down what Stephanie Meyer clearly doesn't in BD. Isn't BD "supposed" be considered a "children's novel"? Well if parents let their kids read these books and are aware what is in BD then they should'nt object to what will be in the movie, cuz after all, it is the book they let them read isn't it?

  13. Okay yeah i dont get why people are so against PG-13.. I personally dont wanna sit in the place watching a very explicit BD.. Like if your old enough to know what happens then why do you need to see it..? no offence but awkward much?.. like yeah they cant ignore it completely but people they doont need to show everything like... decencey and tastefullness ... :)
