Billy Burke Blows-off Romance Rumors and Mistakenly Thinks We'd Find RPattz's Goofinesss Less Appealing
Celebuzz dishes on Billy Burke, who calls B.S. on all those RobSten romance rumors to E!Online: I love Charlie...wonder why there were never any Charlie sightings in Vancity!"As far as I know, I'm gonna say bulls--t," Billy Burke said at Melanie Segal's MTV Movie Awards gift suite. "I'm not buying it. Please!"
Interesting. Then again, when do dads (even movie ones) ever know what the kids are really up to?
Burke just returned from filming New Moon in Vancouver, where he and Rob sometimes grabbed drinks at local dive bars.
So what's R.Pattz like when the cameras aren't rolling?
"He's a goofball," Billy said about Rob's real personality. "If people knew how much of a goofball he was, they wouldn't be falling all over the place. He doesn't take it all too seriously."

I totally wanna see KStew & RPattz Make-Out on Sunday night after winning MTV Movie Awards' Best Kiss. Who's with me?I'm gonna be live-blogging my silly thoughts on Sunday night along with my hilarious friends over at Letters to Twilight, New Moon Movie and Lauren's Bite, who invited me to join them in this nonsensical discussion.
We will ponder important, thought-provoking topics such as:
- Why is so-and-so is sporting a bitch-face (again)?
- Is RPattz more drool-worthy at this year's MTV Movie Awards or at last year's?
- Where's Oregano?
Audition Kiss Details: Inside Catherine Hardwicke's Twilight Den
Catherine Hardwicke shows MTV her Venice home where everything started, which you can read about here. Of the audition kiss, she shared lots of cool details!
"This is the bed. That's where we had the first kiss between Rob and Kristen," Hardwicke beamed on Thursday when we visited her home just blocks from the beach, to celebrate such MTV Movie Awards moments as the Best Kiss nominee born on her own personal bed. "We did the audition — the chemistry read — here to see if these two would have chemistry. To see if their kiss would be exciting and cool.
"They came to my house — they had just met," Hardwicke remembered, inviting MTV News' Tim Kash to sit on the same edge of the bed where RPattz had made his move all those months before. "I said, 'I know you just met, but I need you to do this scene. We're gonna do it in my bedroom, on the bed — and you're really gonna kiss.'
"Kristen already had to kiss three other guys that day," Hardwicke smiled, addressing the Twilighters. "I know that's torturous, ladies."
Then it came time for the young actor they were referring to as "Bachelor Number Three." "She was kind of sleepy and just hanging out — and then Robert appeared in the room," Hardwicke remembered. "His hair was a little different — it was his Dalà hair, with the black bangs."
Although the finished product would be sexy enough for a Movie Awards nomination, Rob and Kristen's first smooch was anything but. "He was a bit nervous, because suddenly you've just met a girl and you're going to start making out with the person — and someone is filming," remembered Hardwicke, who was capturing test footage on film to show the studio. "[Pattinson] was really wild on the first take — use your imagination.
"I had to tell him, 'This is going to be a PG-13 movie!' and have him settle down a little bit," she laughed. "Afterwards, Kristen and I were looking at each other like, 'Whoa!'
"They had to do it three times," she remembered. "The first time, they went a little too far, and I was like, 'I can't show this to anybody at the studio!' After we finished the whole thing and we had met bachelors one, two, three and four, Kristen said, 'It has to be Rob.' She basically threatened me."
From Unknowns to Being the Subject of My Blog
MTV has put up a ton of Twilight articles up over the past 24 hours in anticipation of this Sunday's Movie Awards, including one touching upon how much life has changed in one year for the Twilight Cast and reveals that Ashley, Kellan & Cam will be present too:
One year ago, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and a handful of other "Twilight" stars arrived at the MTV Movie Awards and walked down the red carpet, with most of the world's press uninterested in speaking with them. In fact, they had to go back to the beginning of the carpet and start again, just so they could be properly introduced to those who didn't realize they were movie stars. Luckily, MTV had caught the "Twilight" bug early, eagerly did some exclusive interviews with the actors on the carpet and were proud to use the occasion as their coming-out party.Read the rest at MTV.
This Sunday night, Rob, Kristen, Kellan, Ashley, Cam, Taylor and others will return to Universal's Gibson Amphitheatre triumphantly, leading the evening's attendees with seven nominations. And when director Catherine Hardwicke recently showed us around her Venice home where it all began, she marveled at the difference 12 months can make.
"Pretty much, everyone was more or less an unknown when we cast them," she explained. "Now they've all blown up big, like, crazy."

Filming to Wrap Tomorrow?
The Awful Truth serves up some gossipy fare, including juicy nothingness about Oregano (you'll have to read it for yourself here), but there are some interesting nuggets in their report among the froth:As for the guys? Rob has obviously been a hot commodity, but apparently the Italians are loving newcomer Charlie Bewley, too. Charlie is playing Demetri, and fans have been "clamoring for pictures and autographs" from him.Filming is supposed to wrap Friday, with Rob done today. Can't wait to hear what happens when Robsten is supposedly back in L.A. this weekend!
And if you're wondering if filming might delay an MTV appearance at this point, Twilight sources say everything's "on schedule."

How much do I love NPR? Even more now that Brad Meltzer has revealed his MAN-love for Twilight on NPR's All Things Considered:“I love this story of the gawky, awkward girl who falls in love with the brooding vampire. And I love that she can't get sexual with said vampire because when her blood gets pumping, it'll send him into a frenzy and he'll kill her. And I love when Edward gets all huffy with Jacob the werewolf — oh my God, I'm on the verge of writing fan-fic here — but again, in case you missed it, I love this story.

Chris Weitz Talks About Choosing Montepulciano Over Volterra at Press Conference Today (I think)
Twilight Italia was present when Chris Weitz, Wyck Godfrey & Bill Bannerman participated in a press conference in Montepulciano today. I can't wait to see Charlie as Demetri!The experience on the New Moon set was a thrilling one. It’s this big hive of activity and everyone is working their proverbials off to pull this thing together. The crew were all brilliant, but I have to mention that Chris Weitz is just the coolest guy to work with. I still don’t really understand how he does it, but he just does, and brilliantly efficiently at that, without breaking any eggs.
It was great hanging around with the cast, on and off set. There are some great figures in this flick. Big shout back home to Jamie Cameo-Power, very entertaining. Special thanks also to the make-up department who were a lot of fun and kept us all awake and entertained at 5am call-times.
The most challenging thing was keeping away from the kraft tent. The food they serve up is damn good and I have a nut addiction which rivals your average lipid-deficient Brazilian squirrel.

Ciao for now, Vancity! Italy Shooting Begins Today (*Spoilers Ahead*)
Sorry my posts are chronologically out of order, everybody! I'm backlogged on posts after being out of town for three days. Lainey Gossip has lots of pics of the final cast members leaving Vancouver on Friday, as well as pics of KStew & Chris Weitz on the Italy NM set and some details on the Italy New Moon shoot:Shooting begins on Tuesday and the planned schedule is as follows:
First two days will focus on Bella trying to make her way through the throngs of festival revelers to reach Edward. She jumps in the fountain, wades through it, towards him. Of course she makes it in time at which point he pulls her into a building.
By the way – if you’re wondering, yes, they’ll be trying to include the “slamming” into his body.
When they reunite, Bella and Edward do kiss followed by the arrival of Jane and the others.
They’ll also film something from Alice’s perspective on these two days. She “sees” Edward sparkling in the sunlight.
Some the driving sequences will also go ahead on Tuesday and Wednesday, schedule permitting. .
On Thursday they’ll be jumping into a hole in the ground. This will likely be Robert Pattinson’s final day barring any major delays – heads up to you twi-hards who’ve made the journey.
Friday is more driving and Porsche work.
After that…a Twilight break. Until August.

Ashley Greene Sunbathing in Italy + Michael Angarano in Town
