I'm thinking he's got laces on his shoes (if that's what your title is referring to). Otherwise the tongue of his shoes would be popping up and out when he walks. But he does look good here:)
I'm not so sure about his agent Stephanie's choice in outfit. Not so flattering on her. I like your comment about the rain reminding Rob of home... ahhh...maybe so:) He's there next week, right??
