I'm seriously boycotting, I can't watch!
This is where I'm going to draw my line. No way am I going to watch this now. I want to CRY in the theater with everyone else!
Seriously, good for you guys - I am a weak crack addict!- Lorabell
OMG! His words are much more harsh than what he actually said in the book.
i watched the first 45 seconds and then stopped! *chants* i will be strong. i will be strong!
I can't understand what they're saying. If I didn't know what it said in the book, almost line for line, I wouldn't know what's going on. Are they mumbling? Or is it sound quality? I thought the first twilight movie had a lot of mumbling in it too.
But...but....but....fapohgif gjzspoghz!*BAAAAAH*My boyfriend broke up with me over a text two weeks ago, after two years. I'd prefer this...haha.
I had to watch, it's not like I won't see the movie at least 4 times anyway. At least I can admit I have a problem, that's the first step. HA HA. I cannot wait!!!! They are so much more intense than I thought they would be. It looks so good. I wish Chris was directing all of them. He really has the right mood and direction.
I won't watch, I won't watch! I've seen too much already. I don't want to ruin parts of the movie that are not straight from the book.
Rob freaking nailed it!!!!
Okay I watched it again. It was sound quality, I think. I totally understood what they were saying the second time. I think Kristen pulled of the intensity of emotion for the scene. I believed her. The way Rob kisses her head, the angle, the way we can see his face but she can't -- is utterly heartbreaking.
MY HUSBAND MADE ME WATCH IT!i showed him that it was up but i told him i'm not gonna watch it. so he watched it and then told me to watch it. sigh...i didn't cry, but i think i need to watch the stuff building up to it.
I wish Kristen would lick her lips less though. I'm just saying. But she's prettier than Rob in this scene. I think she's becoming prettier than Rob. I know it's sacrilegious to say, but it's true.
I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch.I must not watch....
DON'T WATCH IT!!!! I did cuz Im stupid with no will.... save it for the movie.... Im piss with my self.... PS: I cry as much as I cry when I read the book....I CAN'T WAIT 27 MORE DAYS!!!! ITS INSANE!!!
I regret watching it too! Grr, I hate myself for giving in to the temptation. I'm seriously disappointed in myself right now.
My mouth was open in disbelief of the awesomeness the whole time and my tongue got dry! Ixnay on the box of tissues, I'll just need a really big drink. Robert Pattinson should win an effing Oscar for that.
I watched it- OMF'ing Edward! That was great! Thanks for posting and making a perfect ending to a really great day!
Thanks for posting it..Just needed to get this scene in my mind before I go to the theater. Now I need tissues and a vodka shot. I'm really not going to be able to wear mascara Nov 20th. *Cries* Oh Edward, how you break my heart.
UGH I watched part of it...couldn't resist...must go read book as a filler instead....November 20th...hurrryyyyy
Damn. After watching the scenes with Bella and Jake and the pack, I thought maybe this movie wouldn't be so bad... but honestly, a spoon could portray more emotion in that scene than Kristen did, I think this even out does her second hospital scene in Twilight as far as bad acting goes (which is disappointing, I thought she'd be able to pull it off because she does a good job of showing emotional pain in the movies Speak and The Messengers).I cried when I read this scene in the book, I felt nothing except amusement at the awful acting and funny wording of certain parts in the movie version.(As for the funny wording, yes, I am immature and laughed at:"I'm coming!""I don't want you to come!"Maybe if the acting was better and I actually felt the emotions a scene like that should have induced had the acting been good then the wording wouldn't have stood out so much). Also, the end of the scene... unless they've cut out part of it between when he leaves and when she falls, that part was terrible. In the book, she's crying and distraught and trying desperately to follow Edward and then falls and just doesn't have the strength to get up again - movie version, she just "trips" (in an obviously fake way) over a huge log and lays down a few feet away from where he left her. They didn't walk so far into the forest so it wouldn't have taken anyone long to find her....Done ranting now. At least the scenes with the wolf pack should be good, and they make up a lot of the movie - Taylor and all that seem to bring out the best in Kristen's acting. This is just my opinion, looks like I'm in the minority with hating this scene. :P
I refuse to watch it. I already thought they had given us too much in the trailers. I'm waiting.
When this first hit I was in the middle of class and I was SO tempted to leave so I could watch it right at the moment. But I'm not that obsessive, so I just watched it with no sound (I don't have issues, yeah - right). Then the moment my professor began closing the class I was out of there like Edward leaving Biology and sat right outside my classroom and plugged in my Bose headphones and watched it again with sound twice, so I had no issues with the sound. Now I'm home and I'm watching it again.I can't resit the TwiCrack. Hi, my name is T.J. and I'm a Twilocholic!
@ lanna-lovely: In the book Bella said she was surprised how calm she was because she was just numb. So in a way she is acting accordingly. And the whole tripping issue I agree with you, but we can't all expect every little detail to make it into the movie. I mean, the movie is already 2 hours - not that that's a bad thing - imagine if all the little things that the fans demand to be in the movie WERE actually in the movie. How long and drawn out that would be..just like Transformers 2. I liked that movie too but it was quite longer than necessary. I kept moving around to prevent myself from getting a buttlock. Lol.
@lanna-lovelyI agree with you completely! I usually just let Kristen's stammering and blinking slide as I love the story, but she blew it big time in this pivotal scene. The blinking and stammering were the same as when she told Edward in Biology that she didn't like the rain. And after all, discussing weather and being dumped by your true love are very equal! LOL. Yes, they definitely didn't show a big part that I'm sure will be in the movie - it's light out when they start talking and it's dark when she 'stumbles' over the log.
Haha, the 2nd time I watched it I did catch on to the whole "I'm coming" "I don't want you to come" bit. I hope I don't laugh at the theater!! Wow, that's gonna make a great YouTube spoof pretty soon...
Wow ok soooo where is this? How could this get leaked??? Please someone explain to me! This movie is really really going to make me cry! My god this is aweeessssoommee! Chris definitely did a great job!
I agree with lanna-lovely. You described it very well. Kristen CAN NOT act!!The scene was set up well and pretty much how I imagined it, but fell short. Rob tries so hard and does a great job as Edward, but Kristen doesn't give him much to work with. I'm really looking forward to seeing Taylor Lautner as Jacob!
In the book, Bella is numb. Shock. Grief, but numb. I actually Kristen did a pretty darn good job. But I think when we see the full movie and everything leading up to that scene we will see the effect more. Rob was amazing though. The look on his face when he kisses her forehead...
i started it up, but after he said "come on and take a walk with me, and i heard the sad music, i was like HELL NO! IM WAITING FOR THE MOVIE! This is most important scene in the movie. I dont want to ruin it phew!
Hrmmm... Rob was really good in it, there was some very intense moments in his performance, the best thing was the tone in his voice, there is some hesitation there but as Bella pushes him more and more, his tone is more determinate until the point of getting a harsh threat style in it; there was also the aloofness facade that is described in Edward in the book, but the hint of pain in him when he kisses her forehead. As for Kristen, she did fine till the middle of it, and when she had to reach a more emotional level in the scene, she started blinking and gasping and licking her lips; the thing is that it kind of annoyed me, because there is Rob doing a good interpretation of the scene and she is missing it.Rob carries her scenes too much; and I noticed that Taylor does it too; both good actors but Kristen as Bella is not responding to their performances.
Well, I watched, because, well, I'm a Twicrack Addict too. I've actually watched several times, to be honest. I first watched a really bad version of Twilight online before seeing the movie in the theatres, and that didn't sway me one bit, I still immensely enjoyed seeing it on the big screen. No spoilers will ruin New Moon for me! As for Kristen's acting, let's give the girl a break, shall we? I think this is a 100 times better than Twilight, and everything I've seen of her so far is awesome. And as far as New Moon (what we've seen so far), may I suggest this? CHRIS WEITZ FOR BREAKING DAWN! YEAH! ;)
Okay, I did watch it once...I should have waited but I didn't :( I figured if I don't watch it over and over again, maybe it will kinda still be new when I see it at the movies LoL. I think it was done very well, pretty much how I thought it would be :) I think Kristen did a great job. Like some have already said, Bella is suppose to be numb. Like when she realizes he meant his family and him, you could tell she was thinking about it just like in the book. Robert was great as always :) It did look a little weird when she fell but I don't think that's the whole scene, it kinda looked cut or something. This is going to be a great movie, we just need to see it put together :) Also when Edward kisses Bella goodbye...OMG, this is going to be hard. He just makes me want to hug him ;)
I WILL NOT WATCH... i think... i'll try.... oye... this addiction is worse then drugs haha
HOLY %^$#^%$#$%^#$&^*%*!!!!!!!!!!!I dont know this is crazy right now
I was a little disappointed in Kristen's acting too and I love her as an actress but in the book leading to the breakup they were tense with each other anyway, that may explain the way Kristen acted in this scene..think we all need to wait for the movie to let it make sense..I wish I would've had the willpower to not watch it...I still cannot wait for the movie..already got my ticket!!..
Kristen did a fantastic job. Bella is described as numb. You have to remember that she is being caught off guard with his words. She thinks she is going with him. She is not acting like a lunatic, crying her eyes out, because she is in shock & disbelief. She does a 100% perfect Bella.
I watched it a bunch of times and I thought Kristen did an awesome job. Yeah, she blinks. People blink. Yeah, she has the lip thing but Bella has the lip thing. So would you all have been happy if she blubbered like a fool and chased Edward through the forest? You know we would have blubbered and chased Edward through the forest, but if Kristen did it we would have laughed at her. The "coming" lines are HILARIOUS if you watch it a few times. REALLY FUNNY. I recommend watching that part again.
Rob overacted. He wasn't bad but didnt do it for me. seriously...Kristen, you'll never win even when youre spot on, you'll never win. She did great in the break up she played is just the way it was supposed to be. Nothing fabricated.
GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kristen is fabulous. If you really look at her face and watch her eyes you can see absolute terror and hollowness in the pit of her stomach.......she was bloody fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought Edward was great. Really go and read that scene again and it all makes more sense......like Lisa - The Heller Family commented she is numb and speechless. I thought Edward/Pattz is awesome as he is trying to comvince Bella of his lies so he has to TRY harder so that is what he is doing.SO GO AND WATCH IT as it is only 7 minutes total out of the whole 2 hours!! Imagine how much greatness we haven't seen yet!
AMAZİNG!!!!! ROBERT, you kicked ass in that scene!Seriously he was great! and Kristen too!
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo........How could they keep releasing these clips!!!OMG OMEEEEEEE I, Kristie L Cullen solemnly swear not to watch it!
I have to say I found Kristen rather bad in the first one. But I blamed bad direction because she is a great actress. I thought she was much better in this. She embodies her more and seems for comfortable. I did think she could of added a little more emotion. And of course I am biased, Rob was fabulous!!
To all the people trying to excuse Kristen's performance as "Bella is numb/in shock" - that wasn't even how it came across in the scene, it was like Kristen was trying to act like she was in pain but fell short.I've seen people when they're numb or in shock and when they talk their voice is either totally void of emotion (which Kristen's wasn't, she was trying to put emotion in it, but it just wasn't convincing) or there is pain in their voice (again, it didn't work if she was trying to portray that either). As for the end of the scene that I mentioned, of course I know they can't include everything, I didn't expect them to (although really, they could've added it, it would've only taken a minute or less of screen time) - but they didn't have to add a pathetic version of it where she trips over a log in an obvious fake way... they could've had her just, like, fall to the ground crying/clutching her stomach (like they describe her doing in the book), the whole half assed attempt at falling thing was dumb.If you've seen her in the movie Speak then you'll know she can play numb or in shock really well - and this, what she did in that scene wasn't it. And she can play pain well too, if you see the scene in The Messengers where she pretty much falls apart (or some scenes in Speak too) - again, this was nothing like that.I'm not expecting people to agree with me, it's just what I think. *shrugs*
The video is still posted on The TwiScoop on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-TwiScoop/112155194468?ref=nf#/video/video.php?v=725389691348&ref=mf
I went to watch it but as soon as Edwards said Come take a walk with me I closed out....I don't want to ruin anymore of the movie for myself. I've seen so much that I really feel like I might be taking the SQUEE edge off. (OK so that probably isn't going to happen.....)
Lanna-lovely, you have some really good points. I didn't like the log thing either. I hope they fix that before the final version of the movie, but I also feel bad for Kristen. She's so young and has so much riding on her shoulders and I'm sure she did the best job she could. I think she takes her job very seriously. But to have the eyes of the world on you, ready to take a whack at you the instant you fall short of their very high expectaitons -- that's a lot for 19 year old to shoulder. Now I know she's making the big bucks, which probably helps soften the blow of those whacks, but still, it's got to be devastating when you do the best job you can to please the world and no matter what you do, it's not good enough. How do you think that would have felt for you at 19 years old? I don't think there's a better Bella than Kristen, anyway. Who would we have wanted as Bella besides Kristen? Anyone else would have fallen short of those high expectations too.
@a...I'm only 20 right now - honestly, she's been acting since she was a little kid, it's not like she's new to the business. And way younger actresses than her have had the lead roles in movies with a lot of pressure (Dakota Fanning has been in that position, and for movies with fans of the books adding pressure, Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliff and Emma Watson were really young too and it was their first movie). The thing that bothers me about it is that it's clearly not the best job she can do - I was honestly a fan of hers before Twilight, I have a whole bunch of her DVD's and she was pretty awesome in those (the reason I keep using The Messengers and Speak as examples are because they're two of my favourites of her movies).Who would I have wanted as Bella? Plenty of other people could've pulled it off, my favourite being Emily Browning (who also played the lead role in the book-turned-movie A Series of Unfortunate Events. When she was 14/15)It's not that I want to hate her acting, I liked the books (aside from BD), so I would love it if I could like the movie too but just the way she plays it... hell, it wouldn't even bother me if she played it different from the book as long as she did it convincingly, but the way she acts now, I feel nothing - when watching movies I'll usually empathize with characters or laugh with them or be mad for them... but I feel nothing while watching her act, and in New Moon, while reading the book I felt pain for Bella while I read it, the movie should have the same (or similar) effect but it doesn't because it wasn't believable.
when Bella says "YOU DON'T WANT ME" it broke my heart when i read the book...gave me goosebumps to hear it out loud in that clip
It really comes down to a fan is a fan. The movies will probably never be as good as the book (we all know that). A true fan will love the Twilight series no matter what is done. That's a true fan with anything. You should either love it or move on.
It is definitely cut between her standing and then falling because there are obviously no tree logs around her. I think it was pretty well done :)
@Twilee - actually, that tends to be the difference between a fan and one of the annoying fangirls... fangirls will love everything and anything as long as it's to do with Twilight, they wear rose tinted glasses that seem to prevent them from seeing anything at all wrong with any aspect of whatever they're fangirling. That is more obsession than being a fan and they're the ones that tend to give Twilight fans a bad name. With fans, they can like something but they don't have to think it's perfect or love every single thing just because it relates to it in some way. I am a fan of the first three books, but I'm well aware of all their flaws and I like them in spite of that because there is still something about them that makes me enjoy them - the same can't be applied to the movie and I just the books and the movies seperately (well, the first one at least, I reserve total judgement of the second until I've seen it). I adore the book Blood & Chocolate and the movie version even though they changed pretty much everything about the movie, they made the movie good in it's own right.I'm a fan of the Harry Potter series (and no, I'm not comparing the two, I'm just using this as an example) and with the movies there are things I don't like but they still do for me what the first three Twilight books did - which is that they were enjoyable even with all of the flaws in them.I'm not going to love everything Twilight related just because I liked the books, once again, that's not a fan, that's a fangirl.A "true fan" as you put it, is not loving everything to do with a fandom - it's loving the parts you genuinely like, there can be aspects you hate and you don't have to think it's flawless, you can know there are imperfections but you love it anyway.

oooo its been taken off :( xx
@Lanna-lovely...I wasn't talking about you. Also, I agree with you for the most part. There are things in the movies I don't like either but still enjoy them. I'm not a crazy twilight "fan girl." I don't agree with them at all. It is very embarrassing how they act but most of them are young, it's expected. What I meant by "true fan" is supporting. They get a lot from all directions, so people who supposedly care, shouldn't join in. I've seen people come to this site and make a list of wrongs. For everyone who still enjoys it, the Twilight sites are for them. That's why I said, "either love it or move on." A lot of us get tired of having to read the negativity. I apologize if what I said upset you or if it came out the wrong way. I wasn't trying to be mean or upset anyone.
@Twilee - you didn't upset me, I just wanted to reply to what you said. O.oTo be honest, if people don't want to read negative comments then they don't have to, you just ignore those comments.Saying people shouldn't be allowed to say their opinions on sites unless they're positive is very... well, look at the negative reaction the Twilight Lexicon got when they did that, censoring their readers (or maybe you didn't see the reaction, I've been going on the Twilight IMDb boards since Nov 07 and there was a big reaction to the Lexicon doing that). Sites like the Lex are good if you only want positive opinions all the time. Also, if people actually care then they'll care enough to want to see it done right, hence, if they screw something up, people will get annoyed. If they didn't care then it wouldn't really matter to them either way. *shrugs* :]
To those complaining that Bella doesn't search for Edward long enough before she hits the ground - I think they spliced this footage. Edward leaves Bella during the daytime, but if you look at Bella's surroundings just as she starts to fall to the ground, it's dark. I think they cut out all of the time that Bella runs through the forest looking for Edward in order to fit the clip into the time allowed at the festival. Maybe that will put some of your minds at ease...what we saw in this clip is NOT all there is to this scene. :)
Well said, lanna-lovely. Everything you've described about Kristen's portrayal of Bella is spot on. Stop the shrugging. When the lead character in a beloved story falls way short of how she is written, it is certainly a disapointment worth pointing out. I for one have taken a lot of flack for my opinions about Bella's acting. Fangirls. I like the way you explained that too. So true. Thank you!
*Kristen's acting, not Bella's. heh..
