I also pictured it more like claw scratches and that part of her eye would be turned down because if the scar. It looks more severe and gruesome than I imagined it.
It should look like claw marks- in fact the claw marks go all the way down her arm according to the BOOK. That picture doesn't look like claw marks. It looks more like grizzle on meat. I hope that isn't the finished product.
This doesn't look as bad as I imagined. I remember it was so bad Bella had a hard time not staring. I do wish it looked more like a deep claw mark with reddish hues.
They don't look like an animal attack at all, which is what they should be. They're also too "pretty" meaning they accent her features instead of take from them. They should be deeper, not quite as healed, and almost kind of ugly her up. They almost look like it could be whisps of hair in her face at first. I guess I always envisioned the wounds going more towards her ear then mouth or starting near her mouth instead of ending that way. I guess I always saw Sam more knocking her away as he did it instead of knocking him towards her. Like if he struck her with these scars he batted her with his left paw which would pull her towards him. I guess I always saw it with his right which would've pulled her towards his side not his face and center.
Being this whispy it doesn't seem as if it was a single strike in anger, it's not sharp enough, solid enough. He's a big ass wolf. The wound should be bigger, more solid, more gruesome.
I really didn´t like it! As many have said it should like a animal attack! I can´t even define what that looks like...I agree with Anonymous from above. It should be bigger, more solid and more gruesome and also make her ugly. She can take it! I´m also unhappy with her hair! It looks like a wig! And that acctres has great hair!!! WTF did they do?! I like the books, but the first movie was so bad that I only watched it once that was enough to scar me for life...
Yeah, the texture of the skin looks really odd- almost like a burn with scratches running through it. Why would claw marks change the texture? Not so happy with that...
it looks more like her skin cracking than actual claw marks. they should have made them straight, deep lines that ran all the way down her arm and that made her eye and lip look lopsided.
I imagined it on the other side of the face, and at least three clean claw marks coming down. Like someone else said, it should have affected the eye and lip. Man they really messed this one up. New Moon is going to impress on so many levels and disappoint too, in my opinion.
I thought it would be MUCH MUCH worse but I guess they didn't want to make it too bad on a 40 foot screen. In the book it says Bella can barely look at her
The scars are nothing at all like I imagined them...I'm really not impressed. I agree with most of the comments above. It doesn't look like a result of an animal attack. They look more like burns or wrinkles even.
The book states that the wolves are HUGE so the scars shown here are much too small. I agree with others who said that her eye and mouth need to be turned down. They are keeping her way too pretty.
Wow...I pictured Em's scar more...idk more...I can't find the words for it...More scary I guess...?Something that would make the watcher go "omg...You poor thing!" not "Oh wow...Must have hurt"
It looks ok I guess. I agree that it looks a lil more like cracks instead of claw marks, but hey we can't win them all. still gets the "hanging around wolves is dangerous" point across.
I thoought it would look more like claw marks fro man animal, because thats how its described in the book, but it looks grusome enough..

ReplyDeleteThey've done a great job on it!

I also pictured it more like claw scratches and that part of her eye would be turned down because if the scar. It looks more severe and gruesome than I imagined it.
ReplyDeleteOuch.. This is way worse than I imagined.
ReplyDeleteIt should look like claw marks- in fact the claw marks go all the way down her arm according to the BOOK. That picture doesn't look like claw marks. It looks more like grizzle on meat. I hope that isn't the finished product.
ReplyDeleteit looks like... well it looks completely fake! I know it is fake, but c'mon isn't that the whole point? That it doesn't look fake even tho it is?
ReplyDeleteThis doesn't look as bad as I imagined.
ReplyDeleteI remember it was so bad Bella had a hard time not staring.

What a disappointment. Not at all how the book described. But that's hollywood for ya! It still works I suppose.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the texture of the skin looks really odd- almost like a burn with scratches running through it. Why would claw marks change the texture? Not so happy with that...
ReplyDeletei pictured it much, much worse than that.
ReplyDeleteit looks more like her skin cracking than actual claw marks. they should have made them straight, deep lines that ran all the way down her arm and that made her eye and lip look lopsided.
ReplyDeletei pictured it being much much more worse than that. they couldve done a better job.

ReplyDeletenah not feeling it, her eye needs to be all messed up too... looks more like a burn than a werewolf or cover story bear punch.... lame

ReplyDeleteNo no no
ReplyDeletei thought it would be better than that.
I thought her eye would be a little more messed up.
It looks more like a burn.
I think it looks great. Is is REALLY that important it doesn't look EXACTLY how its described in the book? No.

ReplyDeleteDoesn't look like claw marks at all. Pretty important detail, Colleen. Might not be to you, but obviously many people do not share your opinion.
