A new pic of Rosalie has surfaced, but I'm not sure if it's a new movie still or just somebody's screencap. Anyhoo, it gives us a good look at Rosalie. That is a big-ass necklace.
I love Nikki and I don't think she's overweight at all. Rosalie is supposed to be curvy. The dress doesn't do her ANY favours at all and Rosalie would wear something more revealing, figure-hugging and flattering. Bad styling :( x
Think about the time that Rosalie was turned, it was in a time where curves were gorgeous. Nikki is beautiful, but the styling dept seems to miss the mark by a tad all the time. Its unfortunate but Nikki Reed is not fat, nor ugly.
She is not a good Rosalie! The only reason why she got the part was because she was cast in Thirteen, a movie directed by Catherine Hardwicke. Great actress just not a good Rosalie. I heard the part was originally supposed to go to Laura Ramsey. That would have been more suitable.
There are so many different vintage beautiful dresses they could put her in.... don't love Nikki as Rosalie.. but in the scheme of things... not a huge deal for me.
I've thought for ages that Nikki has a bit of a weight issue. If you're going to be a star in Hollywood, you basically have to starve yourself and she doesn't. I know it's wrong and all and you people will hate me for it, (I'm not a waif, so hey, I'm with you), but yeah, she's got to go on a diet. When she came back from Greece, new love helped her to lose some weight. She's going to have to keep it off though if she wants to do well in Hollywood, which is totally fixated on looks. Talking about weight, Kristen has gained some weight too, but she's so skinny that any weight on her is really noticable and changes her looks drastically. Hollywood sucks for women.
I hate to say it but Rosalie looks pregnant here and she's a vampire, so she can't get pregnant.
the necklace is the "cullen crest" that they all wear, she always has it on. the dress is a little frumpy. shes got the bitchiness of rosalie, but not the devastatinly beautifulness.
I think the hair and makeup - and expression are very Rosalie. I'm starting to see though that they are not dressed quite as modern as in Twilight. Whoever dressed them in this movie, definitely has more old-fashioned taste. Which with the awesome cars, and the descriptions of them in the book, and all the money, I imagined them being more looking like they stepped off a catwalk, you know?
Holy sh*t you guys are crazy if you think she's "fat"!! Even by Hollywood's standards, that is NOT fat! Yeah they could have cast a better Rosalie, but get over it! No excuse to call the girl fat, just because you disagree with the casting! If the casting was done properly, Jackson would not be Jasper, Peter would not be Carlisle, and Ashley, as beautiful as she is, would be WAY too tall to be Alice! (I suppose you think she should chop off her ankles to appease Hollywood?) Blue-eyed Kristen probably would not be Bella either! Let's face it- no one could bank that Twilight would be such a hit, so Catherine was given cart blanche with the casting- her picks. You know why? Because if the bones had rolled the other way and the movie bombed, no one would have given a crap one way or the other about who-played-who. But it's a smash hit now. (understatement) A moneymaker. The powers-that-be would not DARE re-cast these people.. in fear of YOU my fellow fans! You, WE would rip them a new a-hole. So please, leave the Perez Hilton-esque "fat" comments to the fat Perez Hilton and his website, and let Nikki just be Rosalie already.
The dress sucks hard. Not something that Rosalie would ever wear. I like Nikki as Rosalie. She had the bitchy look lock down. I am just glad they gave Nikki a wig this time around and her hair is blonde. Having to clearly see Nikki's roots in Twilight was such a major distraction.
nikki looks best when she's nikki - the blonde hair doesn't really suit her. i can't imagine anyone else as rosalie now, but then i saw the film before i read the books.
on another note, i saw that you could buy those necklaces at our local dork store in melbourne. all sorts of cullen crap. horrible.
Personally, I like the dress and I think it looks great on her. I think on film it will read better than it is in "print".
And I also think the makeup and hair is WAY better in New Moon as far as I can tell from what I've seen so far. The wigs look more natural, the makeup not so fake/cakey. I think wardrobe will also read better - some of the clothes that I've heard people call "old-fashionede" is really pretty stylish, the sort of couture that reads a little hip/vintage
The dress could be better but other than that it's fine. Everyone calling her a little fat/chubby should be ashamed of themselves, really, you should. She is not a model, she is an actress. And Rosalie was never supposed to have a model figure either.
Nikki is beautiful. The dress doesn't really do her any favors, but if Nikki is 'fat' most people are anorexic. She does a wonderful Rosalie: fiercly loyal, but hostile to the new. Remember, Rosalie was human when curves rocked. They still do. Team Nikki!
I think she looks great! Or at least its a heck of an improvement over twilight. Now she wont be a distraction. I think she looks a bit like Christina Applegate with that expression... http://www.wallpaperbase.com/wallpapers/celebs/christinaapplegate/christina_applegate_8.jpg
The real rosalie would wear a gorgeous tight fitting dress, not that shapeless dress that makes her look like she has granny boobs! Oh well. her hair looks much better this time, because they used a wig. and im glad they covered up her mole, it was so distracting!
Uggh boots in a dress, she turned me off when she trying to gorge herself w/ Rob-- she could never capture Rob from Kristen ---BUT WAIT I THINK KEIRA KNIGHTLEY COULD --IF THEY DID THE REMAKE OF "WURTHERING HEIGHTS" --SUMMIT PICTURES --HEAR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She's a little chubby... Not really a bad thing. But not really good for her character.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest that dress makes her look heavy and I don't think she really is though.
ReplyDeleteHer expression is so Rosalie...I can feel the hostility rolling from her
ReplyDeleteshe kinda looks like Madonna in that pic.
ReplyDeleteHer hands have diiferent colour than the rest of her body.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe it's just my eyes, it's quite late here where I live :)
they should of re-cast her!!

ReplyDeleteI think she looks so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe dress on the other hand.... looks like something that came from the late 90's. Wardrobe can do better than that!
Much better than first movie i must say but without her hair like that..her hair looks fake and not much beautiful

ReplyDeleteThe dress is awful. Costume design is probably Twilight's weakest quality.

ReplyDeletebad wardrobe

That looks like the same necklace she wore in Twilight, during their intro scene in the cafeteria.

ReplyDeleteShe looks absolutely beautiful!

ReplyDeleteNikki, I love you as Rosalie.... you do the deadly stare brilliantly.lol
ReplyDeleteLove the new hair without the dark roots of Twilight.
I think the dress could be a little more fitted to show off her lovely figure....
Seriously, I am ashamed of those who suggest she is chubby... ridiculous! Nikki you have a stunning figure....
