Rob Tweets and the world smiles

It ain't much but it's Rob - I think if he actually joined Twitter, there'd have to be a special Twilight version of the "fail whale" ... suggestions please :)

Thanks PFach and Jake and Rebekah :)

  2. Okay, admittedly the 'my dad made me do it' bit was cute... but come on..that's it?! Throw us a bone, here!

  3. I could become his "personal assistant" and tweet for him...haha.

  4. wtf?! that was like nothing!
i know he doesn't like twitter and all this stuff but come on...
"thanks a million"...what is that supposed to mean? "thank you for stalking and being ridiculously obsessed with me -although you don't know me- and basically ruining my life!"

    what a hypocrite..
i mean i also adore him but that makes me sick..

  5. I can't believe a Tweet from Rob made my heart race a mile a minute. Just the idea of him actually tweeting is so freakin adorable!! Gah!! =}

  6. @Anon - the "thanks a million" was from Peter...remember -- he'll have Rob tweet if he gets to one million followers. "Thanks a million" is Peter being cute, IMHO. He's not exactly there, but close. I think Rob's tweet fits him perfectly.

  7. @cheryl:
oohhhh sorry you're right, i just completely forgot...
wow so my comment seems effing ridiculous and embarrassing now... haha takin it all back...
now it seems waaay sweeter than before.
    but still...i want more :D
this whole rob-diet is driving me insane..

  8. That is just too cute!!!! LMAO way to go Rob!!!!!

  9. That sucked. It's official. Rob doesn't give a crud about his fans.

  10. Well if you think of it his life is paparazi hell because of us the "fans". Sorry Rob:(

  11. I'm with you, Cheryl! When I got home and saw the alert that Peter had gotten Rob to tweet, my heart started racing, my hands were shaking, and I couldn't open the link up fast enough. Clearly, we are going through withdrawal to react this way to a simple message!

I don't know about you, but the lack of face time at the VMAs really has me nervous. Rob was so accessible during the Twilight media blitz. We may be in for some disappointment during the New Moon media blitz.

At any rate, I thought the tweet was adorkable, just like Rob. It was awesome of Peter to follow through on his promise. Peter has really emerged as an engaging personality and will have fans, including me, long after the Twilight Saga has wrapped.

  12. Well I'm not smiling:(( Was that suppossed to be funny?- it wasn't! Why bother at all, I'd rather continue to imagine how Rob is as a person- if he's interesting or not. This just shows me he's not!!

  13. Seriously?!?!? If Rob doesn't want to "tweet" that doesn't mean he is uncaring or unthankful. Why do we feel we need to invade every aspect of their lives? If he puts it out there great for him, if he doesn't want to share, then fans need to stay out. If it is not inregards to the movie and he doesn't talk about it then it is none of our business. The same would go with any star!!

Sorry for my rant, I think sometimes people take things too far! I do love Twilight and I love reading about the Twilight updates. I do not have a twitter, but was excited to see that Rob wrote on Peter's. To expect more is just silly. If he wanted to say more he would have his own!

There I go again ranting and raving.....

  14. wow you people are crazy. hes busy and hates all of this stuff so that was very nice of him to do so for us. he doesnt tweet or anything. and by the way on twitter you can barely fit 2 sentences in a tweet so what do you want a paragraph from him? he cant do that.
    Thank you Rob!
    I understand!

  15. Yay! now we need one from Kristen and Taylor... and maybe Jackson and Ashley and Nikki!

  16. I'm not big on the whole tweet craze either but was it necessary to say: 'my first and last tweet?' How hard is it to type a 'hey' to all of his fans! seriously!

  17. Seriously people I´ll give to you the tweett was not the smartest, but there are so many BS that people tweett and no one critic them but if it is Rob, then we all jump and complain and whine... What were you expecting he would say? if you ever watched his interviews you would know he is not the kind to be fake and kiss fans asses or producers asses or whatever, and he owe us nothing, so why the complain?

And for those of you complaining also because him or Taylor or Kristen are MIA, remember they work 10 to 12 hours or more 6 days a week in the film; and to give interviews and do promotion takes time and free schedule; as soon as they are done filming Eclipse they will be fully back on promoting with all the time for it.. for now there is a shot tweett, not the brightest but a sweet one, I love how he shows his bond with PF and calls him as his character in fiction, his "dad"

Ps, as to why he may be no giving interviews now or walking the red carpet of any BS awards shows, remember last year Rob was the one that did most of the promotion, most of it was by himself all alone, so I think he deserves this time to sit back and let Taylor do it.

OK we get it. Get down from your soapbox now.

  19. {{{sigh}}} A tad disappointing but what the heck - guess I can't blame him... If you think about it, Twitter is N0T Rob's friend - more like the main tool everyone uses to stalk his every move... It's probably ruined many an attempt at a quite-ish/normal-y night out. It's like cozying up with the enemy for him - lol!

  20. Waaooohohoh ! xD

You people need to calm down = )
I think what he'd done is cute, so why blaming him ? Uh ?

    Team Rob ; )

  21. I loved it and will save the text forever. lol OK maybe not forever but for a while.

People just need to lay off. Just because an actor/actress isn't on twitter, facebook, my space, etc all day long doesn't mean they don't care about their fans. Give me a freaking break.

  22. @ Snarkier Than You:

Oh you bring up a good point that Twitter kinda = Rob's enemy.

Maybe he shoulda just told us what he was wearing... that'd be sure to please, no? lol

  23. I think it's just fine. I refuse to Twitter - I stopped at MySpace (won't even do Facebook). Now I must go marry Rob because we're clearly the only two adults under 40 that don't Tweet. Yay Rob-licious! :P

  24. Whoa, poor Rob! He was nice enough to say hello and you guys are scaring him off with all the negative and angry comments. I bet we get no more 'personal' messages or anything else from him, unless forced by the studio. Geez lighten up and stop being so ungrateful!

  25. It was sweet of Peter to try to give the fans something special. He sent the tweet before his followers even reached the 1M goal.

Would you rather get a gushy message from Taylor? (not me)

Ok, I sorta wish Peter had snapped a pic to post along with the tweet, but I'm HAPPY Rob/Peter even bothered to TWEET anything at all. Hope they keep this up.

I like the soapbox... what´s wrong? I can´s express what I think? hahaha

  27. Aww that's very sweet of them, to take the time to give us a shout out :) Thank you Peter and Rob :) *Hugs* :)

  28. I freaking love a pissy Rob Pattinson. I'm sure he hates Twitter. I would too if people used it as a way to stalk me down and have embarrassing conversations with me while they cry and generally freak out.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm sorry but to be honest Rob and Kristen strike me as the type that's irritated and annoyed by the fans and I see why with the craziness and all but I've seen bigger stars react more humble and shy about this whole experience they have to go through too and maybe more. I still like them but oh well.

  30. I was a little disappointed but at least he did it! hehe at least is something!!! He's sooo cute! hehe

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oh come on, what was he supposed to say? I doubt he even 'gets' the whole twitter thing and probably doesn't even like Twitter - neither would we if it would make our life more complicated.

    I think it was cute.

  32. i liked the "my dad made me do it" part, was cute.
BUT i was hoping for more :(
i can see why rob doesnt tweet though, can you imagine if he said where he was :O he would never get any peace!
it was better than nothing though :) ahh i love him so much!

  33. I'm sorry to say but there was NO message to his fans in this tweet AT ALL. You people are lame if you think he was giving you some kind of message by saying "this is my first and last tweet." The translation is "I don't want to talk to you, and I'm never going to tweet (talk to) you again." In other words: "I have nothing whatsoever to say to you people." If you take it as anything else, then you're fooling yourselves. He doesn't give a rats azz about his fans. He just wants to go home with a big fat paycheck and be left alone, like every other actor in Hollywood. That's reality. Face it. You'll be happier.
