Um, hello random shot I've never seen before of pre-wolf Jacob giving Bella a dream-catcher ... cute add-in that the gift is meant to keep away bad dreams ;)
My guess is it's a surprise on her birthday - what do you think?

P.s. Oh, Edward *sigh* leaning against your silver Volvo... good times!
Umm nice gift hehe buttt this isn't in the book sooo I like it! hehe Edward looks soo sexy hehe Yep I agree Lorabell! Definitely birthday gift! So cute!!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, is this supposed to be foreshadowing?? Jacob is giving Bella a dream catcher because in the future she is going to have bad dreams?? Chris Weitz, i like. That's really cute. This scene porbably just shows Jacob's little crush on Bella, but she is taken. Awww, poor Jake.
ReplyDeleteYou can see it hanging from Bella's bed during the "velociraptor" screaming scene in the trailer.
ReplyDeleteI love all things Native American but this sounds just too cliche.
ReplyDeleteThat would be weird since they didn't hang out till months after her horrific 18th bday party. Hmm...maybe instead of conversation hearts, he gave her the dreamcatcher for valentine's day.
ReplyDeleteI kinda of like this reference, since Jacob character has a long line of rituals and beliefs. I think it's very appropriate even if it's not in the book.
ReplyDeletein the script that leaked back in may this scene was in it. This scene is VERY good...I wont give anymore away than that :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Heidi Ho ... I automatically thought of Valentines Day.
ReplyDeleteChris Weitz added Jacob to this scene. It's the morning of Bella's 18th birthday, before the party when they are at school. You can tell becasue look at Bella and Edward's clothes, they match the picutres from the set agesss ago! I remember when they were filming this, Taylor Lautner was on set, and everyone just thought he was watching becasue he wasn't in this part the book!! I think that it's cute that Chris added this. It shows Jacob's crush, becasue he drove all the way from La Push, just to give Bella a present for her birthday. Edward's is watching Bella protectively, becasue he can read Jacob's thoughts about Bella! Haha, thats really funny
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I don't think that's really appropriate if they are staying close to the book. They don't hang out or talk until like 4 months later. Also makes no sense for him to give it to her at this time because she didn't have horrible dreams yet. I hope Chris is smarter than this.
ReplyDeleteAww that's sweet :) I agree, I think it might be a Valentine's Day gift :) It's kinda sad it doesn't help though, she still has bad dreams :( Man, I hope I don't cry too much with this movie hehe
ReplyDeleteyeah this scene's in the begining of the movie.
ReplyDeleteteehee. i'm a cheeky monkey, i read the script.
;D
P.S. Edward hot as always ;)
ReplyDeleteleaked script- Bday. basta.
ReplyDeletei think its way cute :)
ReplyDeletehow do so many of you guys know what was in the leaked script?! but I agree, it's abviously bella's bday. the clothes match and everything.
ReplyDeleteI automaticly thought of valentines day, one of my fave jake quotes is the valentines bit where bella asks what it entails to be his valentine and he says something like ' oh you know the usual, being my slave for life' lol i do have a bound version of the script but am resisting to read it till after ive seen the film. If anyone has read twilights script you will realise just how different the script and the actuall film can be....
ReplyDeletedo you see the little wolf hanging from it? Sweet :)
ReplyDeleteThe dreamcatcher is from the Ojibwa (Chippewa) tribe from the Great Lakes region----nowhere near the Pacific Northwest. Don't likey this addition as it isn't culturally correct or "by the book." BTW my grandmother was Chippewa.
ReplyDeleteyes, maybe she has nightmares.

i strongly agree with Juju from Tales of Whimsy and Anonymous from 9:33 AM.
ReplyDeleteBella gives Jacob a really sweet hug to thank him for his gift. Best day of filming ever...
ReplyDeleteI happen to know this is very near the start of the film and is Jacob delivering a birthday present to Bella for her 18th
ReplyDelete@SharonMacross "velociraptor" screaming LOL. So true.
ReplyDeleteI think Jacob could use this Edward Voodoo doll I found:

Hm... I don't like that Edward is so blurry in the pic :-( Actually I don't really like that Edward will be absent most of the movie, but, nothing to do about that *sigh*
ReplyDeleteDon't really know what to think of the whole diversing from the book thing. I guess I'll have to watch the movie and see how well it works out.
my mom made that dream catcher (:
ReplyDeleteso i think its pretty fuckin' sweet.
I love the dream catcher and a little bird told me who made it. Her dream catchers are the best in the world ! Perfect for the movie and I love that these characters are holding it. Can't wait to see the whole scene.
