New Moon Rated PG-13 for "some violence and action" -- but no "scene of sensuality"

The Scorecard mulls over New Moon's PG-13 rating:

The Motion Picture Association of America has given The Twilight Saga: New Moon a PG-13 rating for “some violence and action.”

If you’d like to look further inside the rating … Twilight was also rated PG-13 for “some violence and a scene of sensuality.”

Does this mean nothing sensual happens in The Twilight Saga: New Moon?

Gawd, I hope that something sensual happens in New Moon.

  1. Oh how I miss Catherine Hardwicke for this. Her and her not-so-pg-13 deleted scenes. Lol.

  2. I wonder what determines "scenes of sensuality?"
Is it just the kiss or does it have to be more detailed, such as the bedroon scene in "Twilight", hmm. Well I hope if they do "Breaking Dawn" it's a R rating because I wanna see some action between these characters!!I know it will never happen because the movies are not structured for my age demographic, Oh well. PG-13 still works for me!

  3. TCA--The kissing we have already seen looks pretty sensual to me. I bet it is as @Anonymous states above because is not in a bedroom. I am with you and Lorabell though there better freakin' be a leg hitch and some serious sensuality in Eclipse and BD...there will be an uprising of pissed off Twitards if that doesn't happen. Do hear that Summit? Listen up.

  4. wait did it say that Twilight was rated PG13 for a scene of sensuality? i dont remember......
i really dont think eclipse is gonna be romantic, which pisses me off. it was the most romantic book and it did have a lot of action in it, but the movie HAS TO BE romantic (its our only way of imagining robsten is real lol)
they should bring Chris Weitz back for BD because he seems to know what we want lol

  5. I wish they would not think of the tweens on the sensual stuff, don't they know most of us are in are thirtys. HA And the most of the tweens nowadays have seen much worse, (Gossip Girl).

  6. @ Anon above: Yeah, lol. Chris Weitz is now on demand.

  8. @Heather, I totally agree. They always talk about the movie being a teenager movie and Rob being a teen heart-throb. Do they not realize that there are tons of fans in their 30's and 40's?? That's my age demographic too and all of my girlfriends are sucked into Twilight addiction too and counting the days until New Moon opens. They all need to get with it and realize the true demographic!!

  9. Let me just say that I am 41 years old and I absolutely ADORE Robert Pattinson. I LOVE the whole idea of ROBSTEN too. I will be SO disappointed if they do not have a romantic scene between Edward and Bella when Edward comes to her room after they return from Italy and he's trying to convince her that he loves her. As you recall in the book, after he says "I love you" they totally make out. They better NOT delete that. I will be SO mad. It's bad enough that they can't stick to the book and keep the silver Volvo. Given the chemistry between Rob and Kristen, they NEED to have on HOTT scene at least.

  10. Total agreement for bringing Chris Weitz back for Breaking Dawn! I think we need to hound Summit with emails. I think I speak for most of us women who are in our 30's & 40's and we wanna see some serious BODY SLAMMING!

  12. Somebody who has access to Summits address should write them and let them know that they need to include those sensual scenes that Stephanie writes oh so well to tease us with into the movies. Those are the parts that makes us all swoon over Edward and love the books so much, they can't leave stuff like that out! I'd hate to see if they left out the makeout scene between Bella and Edward at the end when they come back, it's a meaningful moment between the two and about the only making out we get in the book! If they want to stay true to the book, they need to include these things in the movie. Please, someone let Summit know this and that they'd better NOT cut us short on Eclipse and BD-we want our love scenes damit!

  13. I still think eclipse is still gng to have the romance, i mean we already know that the kiss between jake and bella on the mountains was apparently so heartbreaking to reshoot over and over again! via Davids twitter.

And keep in mind, all the romance scenes happen in interior scenes mostly bellas bedroom, so hence the lack of knowledge about knowing if there is gng to be any romance. All the actiony part is being talked up and emphasised because it occurs outside and thanks to the paparazzi and twitter we can obviously see it happen before our eyes.

And if u think about it, eclipse is not THAT romantic as in red roses and butterflies! Edward is too predandic and busy to be all meadowy-disco ball to bella. Well obviously they have their moments [leg hitch, proposal and blah] but c'mon the rest of the story is DARK... Rosalie and Jaspers flashback, Bella is constantly anxious and then there's jacob' heartbreak!!!

  14. *walks back and forth the living room shaking her head*

What does this meen...? We need leg hitch, we need serious action... come on, we're going to wait the most of the movie to see Bella and Edward reunite, so it better well be freakin hot!

  15. Ok, well, we've seen quite a few New Moon trailers and alot has been revealed so far. I'm HOPING that we will NOT be disappointed and that "make out" scene between Edward and Bella (when they come back from Italy and they're in Bella's room) will actually happen. MAYBE they just want us to be surprised. That has GOT to be the HOT point of the movie, when they're re-establishing their relationship. They need to take advantage of the HOT chemistry between Rob and Kristen. I guess we'll see.

  16. Looking forward to Breaking Dawn and the wedding/honeymoon scenes. I know I heard that they are NOT planning on doing any nude scenes for that, but they can at least make it HOT !!!!
And, they could also add a few things to it such as...Edward apologizing to Bella for being such a jerk about the baby in the beginning. I always thought he should have said he was sorry for wanting to "get it out of her" as he put it. Wouldn't it be so cool if after BD was filmed it made Robsten WANT to get married too? Yeah, dream on...lol.

  17. I think that if 'mormon' Twilight writer Stephanie Meyer has anything to do with it she will not allow too much skin or too much action as her church is against watching rated R movies.
