Jamie Campbell Bower got us all...er...excited (?) when he mentioned to MTV that there would be a scene where Aro, Caius & Marcus are all sitting around a fountain naked in New Moon.Well, this is a PG-13 movie, people. Chris Weitz clears the air:
"I would like to put everyone's mind at rest and let them know that the Volturi are not naked!" he wrote in a note released through the folks at Summit. "Jamie has what you might call a dry sense of humor, and almost managed to convince me--which is why he's such a good actor. Anyway, be assured that, even though we do want the look of the Volturi to be a bit of a surprise, they are as always--as in the book!--fully clothed."Source: Buddy TV

Geez never tell nothing funny without putting a funny face or people will think it is true.

when i saw that interview i was like, "what the heck did he just say?!" I thought it was kinda funny, but yeah if they had them naked i would have gotten so mad cuz they didn't stay true to the book, and i would probably leave cuz i can't watch something that is considered rated R(now its making me wonder if i can go see breaking dawn...oh no.)Haha! but love the dry sense of humor though Jamie! :)

ReplyDeleteYou know some Twi-Parent freaked out and sent a scathing letter to Summit demanding to know why there was a nude scene in New Moon, lol. If I was Jamie I would be laughing my butt off at the absurdity of it all. I love it and I want him to say more outrageous things!

ReplyDeleteI'm getting closer to adoring Chris Wietz everyday. I love how he didn't make a big deal about it, and just calmly laughed it off and set the record straight, and no one's freaking out. I think Summit should maybe take a page from his book on how to handle things publicly without going overboard?

Thanks for the "cool" way you approached the hoop-la regarding Jamie's "nude" comments on a recent video (I love Jamie's British humor). I knew the movie was rated PG-13 so I also knew there was NO WAY there would be a nude scene....however, Jamie was SO bloomin' convincing in the video! Hilarious... but from now on, I'll know that Jamie can "lie" like no other........all while lookin' straight into the camera and our hearts! You both ROCK in my book.

If mothers've reacted so hard about a possibly nude scene, I wonder how they will react about the birth scene, coz man: that's something.
