A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyesI came across another awesome video using the same song (and could resist the urge to post it) care of Calli and the gals at Letters to Twilight - enjoy!
I screamed aloud, as it tore through them, and now it's left me blind
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
And in the dark, I can hear your heartbeat
I tried to find the sound
But then it stopped, and I was in the darkness,
So darkness I became
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
I took the stars from our eyes, and then I made a map
And knew that somehow I could find my way back
Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too
So I stayed in the darkness with you
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
I think it so perfectly suits this quote from New Moon:
Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars – points of light and reason…. And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by light. I couldn’t see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything.

P.s. "The Reason" by Hoobastank is a good contender too ;)
ur right, that is perfect! I hope it makes the soundtrack!
ReplyDeleteLorabell,
ReplyDeleteAfter you posted the first video ft this song, I checked Florence + the Machine out & ended up buying the whole album on itunes! And I agree that this song is all too perfect for NM...epically beautiful!
Holy Hannah! I love this song...it's stunning. You feel the power behind her words and the power behind Bella and Edwards love!

ReplyDeleteAs long as we're on the subject of music...
'Letters From the Sky' by Civil Twilight is really moving and makes me think of New Moon also.

ReplyDeleteDid you JUST now notice that?! LOL!
when i bought the florence album this is exactly what i thought. AMAZING AMAZING album!
ReplyDeleteYes! I've been addicted to this song (and find Florence overall amazing) ever since that first video (you?) posted a while back. I'm having a hard time believing this song WASN'T partially inspired by the saga. Florence's Wiki entry says she's an avid reader. Love it!
ReplyDeleteAfter your first post I iTunes the song super fast. If this doesn't make you sing at the top of your lungs (repeatedly because who can listen to this song just once?) then your crazy.
ReplyDeleteI love the shit outta this song. Thanks for the post/re-post. =D
Anyway we can rally who ever is doing the score for NM?? this would actually be perfect for the part where she's looking for edward in volterra.
ReplyDeletethat song is AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteI can NOT stop listening to this song. Not only is it perfect for the movie but it's just so powerful. Thank you for posting this!
ReplyDeleteYES!! god i flipping LOVE Flo and the Machine!! when i first listend to the album all the way through i thought she would defo suit the soundtrack! shes AMAZING!! serioulsy if you can, BUY the album!
ReplyDeleteI really like that song and think it fits perfectly. however, your P.S. about Hoobastank's The Reason made me shiver. I absolutely hate that song for some reason. I think, when it first came out, that I liked it but it was soooo overplayed on the radio that I got sick of it. I like how the Twilight movies are taking bands that haven't neccesarily been in the Top 40. That way, after the movie comes out, the public begins to associate that song with a specific moment within twilight. Using a song that has been a Top 40 always risks the viewers and fans relating that song to another moment, memory, etc.
ReplyDeleteBut, I do love the song you posted. Very heartbreaking.
I can't stop listening to that song!!!!! I came across this one video... it's AMAZING: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFXTEgO2cds
