How Are You Gonna Watch New Moon?

Lynda just got her Bella Jacket in the mail, and it looks great next to her cardboard Edward and Burger King crown! If I had that crown, I'd totally wear it to the theater to see New Moon and embarrass Mr. TCA. :-)

We are now in the double-digit countdown. So what are you gonna end up wearing to see New Moon? Who are you going with and when do you plan to see it?

Thanks, Lynda!

  4. Well, a group of 12 adult women are going together. My 50 year old mother, nearly 28 year old little sister, myself(who will just have turned 30 5 days before new moon comes out) and a bunch of other women I dont know(sister does). We are all going to watch Twilight early in the evening, then go out to dinner. We will get to the theater around 10:30pm.( The lines last time were INSANE!)

We will be wearing Twilight/New moon t-shirts. Yes, we have all given up hope at maintaining even a shred of our dignity.

However, we made a pact not to Scream while watching the movie, as it was difficult to hear much at the Twilight midnight launch. We will save our rowdy behavior for leaving the theater.(Out of respect for the rest of the crowd watching):)

  5. I'm going either to the midnight showing, or the next day. I'm going with my three besties and my mom and their mom and my dad, most likely. It's kinda creepy how he's excited for this movie almost as much as we are. lol
I'm totally wearing my "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb" tee shirt and Cullen Crest wristband. My friend dared me to write "Team Edward" on my forehead, but I chickened out. I don't wanna look like a TOTAL retard. A little retardness never hurt any Twi-hards...right?
My sister's wearing her, "Team Alice...Improving Your Fashion Sense Since the 1900's."
Oh, I'm also bring a purse full of kleenex. No mascara or eyeshadow whatsoever this time.

This movie can't come out soon enough!

  6. As i said before, My sister/ Best Friend is fying out from ACROSS THE COUNTRY! She says its also for ThanksGiving but we know its not Lol. So shes coming out the day before and were going to go see it at the earliest possible showing (not midnight because ive heard that it RUINS the movie/experience) with my Sister(just as crazy bout twilight as me), Her Boyfriend, My mom(Loves it), Dad, and 15 yr. old brother (who just recently read the books and lOVED them Lol)... so pretty much going with immediate family who all love Twilight! Couldnt ask for any better people to go and SQUUEEE with! =D Lol

Idk what im going to wear tho?? Havent thought about it, thanks for reminding me to pick an outfit out hehe

  7. I think I'm going at midnight, with a bunch of friends. I'm dressing up as Victoria, and a guy friend of mine might go as James. Even though he's sort dead in New Moon.

  8. ^^ Don't you love it when the family joins in on the fun!

Maybe I should buy water proof mascara. My mon already bought a couple of pacs of mini tissue for our purses. LOL!

  9. I`m going to the midnight showing with my bestie and half of Kleenex`s year supply !! CAN`T WAIT !!!!!
*wonders.. if I rip August/September and October off the calendar, and mark off the days up to the 18th Nov, would it make it come round quicker ??*

  10. i'm not going till the week after thanksgiving. i don't want to be in the theater full of 15 year old girls screaming. i want to be the only screaming. so on Tuesday, December 1st, i'm going to see New Moon with my best friend/husband. he's even excited to see the movie. i dont' know what i'm wearing but i'm definitely getting a new outfit. i'm even trying to lose some weight to look nice. LOL. oh and, we are hitting the first showing...and hopefully i can convince him to see the second one too. SQUEE!!! i might do the crown, but he's already told me he won't...we'll see about that. :)

  12. I am going to the midnight showing with 3 (or 4) of my other cracked out friends. We all have various twi-related shirts (I have the OCD one) that we will be wearing along with our lip-venom v. It is going to be AWESOME!

  13. Im going to the midnight showing, then also me and two other girls from the 'UK Twilight Fans' group on facebook have actually hired out a screen at a Vue cinema in london to go watch it all over again with 250 other fans from the group :)

  14. I'm hoping I can go to the midnight showing as well. I'll probably wear my Team Edward shirt!

  15. i'm going to the midnight showing with my mother, (i soooo dont want her to go), who intends to bring her friend who has read the series, oh wait, it gets better. my mom's friend is going to bring her son, who also read the books, (he's my "future husband" as my friends call him, who is 3 years older than me).
anyway, i'm gonna be a wild one and wear my Jasper tee shirt cause i'm a bitchhhh! :]

  16. JJ & I are going to a midnight show where we'll take turns physically restraining each other from going all fist-a-cuffs on screeching tweeners. And then we'll console ourselves with the fact that we took the day off for a less-screechy repeat viewing or five. Oh eff it - we'll be going "SQUEEE!!" just as loud as anyone else, I imagine. Maybe louder!

I'll definitely be wearing plaid. Or maybe a party dress! What would Alice do? Hmmm... OK nix the plaid... So many decisions still to be made (and you're still welcome to join us... You know you wanna, TCA...)!

    : )

  17. lol :) I'm loving that there is an 'older' fan base! I'm 30 and my friend is 29. We've booked the day in with the hubbies to have the kids and we're off!! Can't wait. I'm going vintage glam, just like Alice! lol :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Dang, now you all have me wondering if I shouldn't glam it up a bit! LOL....then the other 11 women would all jump me for ruining the flow of group.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Snarkier...how about a plaid party dress?

    ReplyDelete
  20. huh...yeah you're right, that doesn't look like its spelled right at all. :)

  21. I'm going to the midnight showing and taking off from work to see it aging the next day. I can go alone don't need company, I saw the Twilight more then 12 times.

    ReplyDelete
  22. My sister offered to take me to the midnight showing since she didn't get me anything for my birthday. Both my bet friend and I have school the next day, but by the looks of that Band Slam trailer, it'll be well worth it. :)

  23. Haha I wore my Bella jacket to the preview today :P. Not because it had anything to do with twilight really, I just adore the jacket. I don't know if there are midnight showings here in the UK, i would go if there was. If not I will be at the first showing in my nearest cinema.

  24. I'm going to watch it the first day it comes out in the early afternoon. That way I can watch it in peace and quiet [the kiddies will be in school around that time :)] because I don't want to hear, "AHH!!OHMYGOSH!!" every 2 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Heres my plan:
    1. make teeshirts weekend before with my best friend/twilight buddy that we wear to premire (unles i can buy the bella party dress)
    2. get tickets online as soon as they are available
    3. go to the theatres at around 5 or 6 to ensure we get good seats, then wait for the rest of our slightly less obsessed twilight fan friends to arrive
    4. watch twilight with my ipod and eat dinner in line and read all the good parts in new moon
    5. when the line opens, get seats smack in the middle towards the back
    6. start a cheer in the theatre when it gets close to midnight
    7. when the movie comes on, try not to squeel everytime i see rob or taylor or kellan
    8. CRY MY EYES OUT
    9. await restlessly for italy scene
    10. scream alot
    11. clap and cheer when its over
    12. watch the credits to see if they thank the fans (;
    13. go home with my friends and stay up discussing it
    14. try to fall asleep for a little bit
    15. go to school completly tired and unable to concentrate due to thoughts about edward/rob
    16. see it again after school (: and the next day, and the next, etc
    I CANT WAIT!

  26. I already have the day off from work... My supervisor said she'd only let me have the day off if she could come with me to watch it! So now almost the whole team (4 of 5) is going, along with my supervisor's supervisor!!

  27. My sister, her two daughters, and I are going to see New Moon together. We are all newbie Twilight addicts. (Didn't get into the whole Twilight thing until the DVD was released.) I would love to see the midnight showing, but I'm not willing to wait hours in line to do so. Sunday might be a good day for us.

We are all planning on wearing jeans and tees with our favorite characters on them. (Nothing fancy.) We decided against wearing the Burger King crowns because we thought it would be too much. (Might have to reconsider now lol!) All the others will be sporting vamp tees (2 Edwards and an Emmett). I'm the lone wolf (so to speak) who will be representing Team Jacob!

    ReplyDelete
  28. im going w my roomates! we are all excited and can not wait!! we are goin to get our tickets online as soon as they r available! and we are plannin on gettin shirts made of our fav vamps!!

one roomates will be a Team Jasper shirt

  29. I'm 37 & will be meeting up with friends from several states for the midnight showing! The oldest in our group is almost 50 & the youngest is 7. We're all wearing Twilight related clothing and bringing a couple of boxes of Kleenex, as there will be major tears flowing!! We are prepared to camp out overnight if we need too, and are ready with our portable DVD player to watch Twilight while waiting!!!

  30. I've persuaded my older brother to see it with me. I REALLY want to dress him up like Jasper, but I don't think he's going to go for it.

When I saw Harry Potter I made a Chuck Norris Shirt and I think I'll follow that theme. I think it will say...

CHUCK NORRIS PROVOKED THE VOLTURI AND LIVED

ps. Harry Potter shirt said IF CHUCK NORRIS WENT TO HOGWARTS THEY'D HAVE TO START ANOTHER HOUSE ...THE ROUND HOUSE! Even made a Crest to go with his house and put it on the back of the shirt. ...Hm, maybe I could turn the Cullen Crest into the Norris Crest.

  31. One of my current sewing projects is to recreate the green party dress Kristen Stewart wears in the New Moon previews. So I'm going to cosplay as Bella. That's if I get that dress done, because there is alot of embroidery work to be done.
I already have most of the componets. The hardest thing to find will be to locate a turquoise cuff bracelet.

    ReplyDelete
  32. My friend and I are wearing Team Jacob t-shirts and were going to the theater at midnight(we ALREADY have reserved seats.) and then were partying it up with some popcorn and coke (:

    ReplyDelete
  33. Im wearing my New Moon shirt that I got at Hot Topic

    ReplyDelete
  34. so i'm going at midnight with my two best friends twilight brought us together and its basically our thing so Nessie isnt gonna go as Nessie cuz shes not born yet but shes gonna go as bella instead. Alice is going as alice in a formal dress she has that looks exactly like alices in the trailer and hte crazy thing is my alice had it first. [note: not real names we nicknamed everybody in the yg after twilight charachters] and i'm going as Heidi my namesake in either heels tight jeans and tight red sweater [which is less slutty than it sounds] or a black long formal dress with volturi cloak

OR we are going in the character specefic shirts i made for us all w/ Ness as Nessie not Bella

ps sorry so long but i enjoyed reading all the comments about others and wanted to share

  35. Im going with my BFF and a couple of more friends. Am now trying to convince my mom to let me go to the midnight showing. My brother is willing to take me because his girlfriend loves the Twilight Saga as well. Im going to wear my New Moon shirt I got from Hot Topic with straight legs and Chuck Taylor's!!! And will probably end up seeing New Moon more than 6 times.

  36. i'll be going alone the next day... or whenever it'll be safe for my ears...

    ReplyDelete
  37. You know what's funny, I was actually thinking about that today. I'm not sure yet...I know im bringing tissue though.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm planning on flying out to BC to see it with two Twi-friends in VanCity!

Gotta see it in the city it was made and who knows....they might still be lurking around!

What am I wearing.....nothing Twilight-related. My dressing up for a movie ended the last time I saw the Rocky Horror Picture Show - probably jeans, my hoodie and sneakers...and I'm bringing Mini-Edward!

  39. Another Mom and I will be taking 15 teenage (ages 13-14) girls on Nov. 20 at 12am to see New Moon!! I will be wearing my Twilight Mom T-shirt and loving every min. of that night!!Y'all wish us luck! lol If anymore girls want to go I am going to end up renting a bus!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Okay, I am a 47 year-old mom who has really loved reading the Twilight books with my 10 year old daughter. New Moon was like crack for me though and my daughter got mad when I would read ahead!! How in the world I could get so addicted is beyond me. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to have a twilight slumber party and invite some of her girlfriends over who have read the book and then we will go and see the movie- it should be a memorable but crazy experience for all of us!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think we might see it the day after the premiere, since I don't think anyone interesting will come to the Danish premiere. Plus that way I can watch the movie without a lot af young girls screaming. I'm going with my hubby and is rather concerned as to wether I can keep from screaming and cheering! my hubby would get such a shock!

The outfit defnitely has to be FABOULOUS! I'm still undecided but I think it will include Chanel bag and heels :-D

  42. I'm going november 19th, which is my birthday. And i'm taking all friends i turned in to twicrackheads.

If not, then i think im wagging school to go see it on the friday.

    CANT WAIT

    ReplyDelete
  44. Haha. All this talk reminds me of when Twilight came out. Everyone rushed in and we climbed over seats so we could get a good spot. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  45. Well let's see, I'll wake up in the morning, screaming at the top of my lungs for people to get up and get ready becuase it's NEW MOON, BABY!! I'm going to have to be sure we get a box of tissues.....it's going to be a must-have!

I'm going with my mom - whom can't make up her mind if she's Team Jake or Team Edward - and we're going to see it the DAY it comes out! At the mall when it opens! Staring at the movie guy to open the gates and let us in! Lol...hopefully we'll be able to get our tickets before hand!

I'm wearing my Team Edward shit, grey zip up hoodie, skinny jeans and some cute ballet slippers, a Team Edward BK crown - if I can find one lol - or anything spiffy that Hot Topic might be selling. Mom's going to have to get a Team Edward shirt!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Someone explain please.....What's the deal with the Burger King crown?

    ReplyDelete
  47. ^^^ The Burger King Crowns have Team Edward and Team Jacob on them, they gave them away during Comic-Con and at Burger King. (:

    ReplyDelete
  48. I am going as Bella, an obvs choice. I am one of the lucky ones with long dark wavy hair like hers, and brown eyes. I'm going to wear the green thermal hoodie bella wears to the vamp baseball game ( I bought it april of 2008, not knowing it was in the movie) and recreate the rest of that outfit. I also have a nearly identical turqoise bracelet like bella's that i got at an antique store when i was in elementary school. it's a little ridiculous when I think about it. But, it'll be a blast to feel a little like bella when watcing the movie. also, i would never do it any other time, so i might as well live it up.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm gonna be on my friends couch in their movie room. Can't say how that happens-but it's nice to have friends!! That's all I can say.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm definitely going to the midnight showing at one of the theaters here in Los Angeles... Myself [23], my friend[22 once NW comes out], and my mom [she's 50] will be n attendance! We plan on wearing shirts for our fave guy [myself, Jacob!! - my mom and friend, edward] I'm going to make my own Team Jake shirt, which ive already designed! oohh and of course the Burger King crown! My mom has even recruited co-workers to come with us!! It's gonna be crazy and super fun!

    ReplyDelete
  51. i am going to be at the theater at midnight.. i will probably get in line at 6pm... cuz last time i went for twilight there was people already in line since 630pm... I am going to get in line and wait for my family to get there around 1130pm... It is going to be awesome... I need to make my shirt for that night... again it is going to be awesome...
