Personally, I like Monique Lhullier's creation best, but other designs are likely more to Edward's taste...What do you think?
Monique Lhullier's design
Monique Lhullier's designLela Rose's design seems to be among your faves!
Thanks, Gabi & Renesmee!

It has to be Bella's image of Anne of Green Gables to go along with Edward's "age" when life was much simpler in the early 1900's.
ReplyDeleteThat is the one I love to and I feel matches the description.
ReplyDeleteI've always LOVED monique lhuillier, but I think I like max azria's sketch for bella the best.
ReplyDeletedid anyone else think brian reyes' design was closer to a picasso painting than a wedding dress?
I like Lela Rose's design, but none of them is like I pictured from the book :(
ReplyDeleteI like Monique Lhullier's one and the one by Lela Rose's, but they don't look like what I imagine, sorry by the lame english :/
ReplyDeleteSome of those designs were kinda scary -- Anon: yes indeed Picasso influence! I think I like Monique Lhuillier's design. Its modest but not so much so. Lela Roses is quite pretty too, like the victorian feel.
ReplyDeleteI like Lela Rose's dress, although I would rather it white and not off-white. Monique Lhuillier's is amazing as well :)
ReplyDeletePS: Prabal Gurung would be Edwards' favorite ;)
Lela Rose's gowns is my favorite. It's the one I can best picture Bella wearing.
ReplyDeleteIn the book I pictuerd it with long sleaves, and more of a mermaid train, almost like a calla lily. But Lela's is great!
wut the hell is going on in those pictures????? omg
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Monique!
ReplyDelete- Lorabell
I wore a Monique Lhuillier in my wedding! I hope they pick one like that-it's gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Monique Lhuillier is definitely my fave.
ReplyDeleteLela's comes the closest to capturing the Victorian elegance Bella chose to compliment Edward's history.
ReplyDeleteI cant say I like any of them, not what I imagined in the book. A couple of those pictures were horrible. PLUS when will they get the body lines on women right????
ReplyDeleteMonique's is exactly what i thought when i read the book :D
ReplyDeleteI like Lela Rose's the best from all of these for Bella. I agree that it seems to be closest to the time period it was meant to pay tribute to/respect.
ReplyDeleteLela Rose for sure
ReplyDeleteShe would look absolutely stunning in the Monique Lhullier gown. Wow!
ReplyDeleteLela Rose all the way :)
ReplyDeleteLela Rose definately brings out the "Jane Austen" mode they describe in the book for Bella's wedding dress. Classic, simple yet stunning & beautiful... The Christian Sariano design is very daring.. I love the design but it's not a Bella wedding dress.. But I was wondering about the designer mentioned in Eclipse? Was that a real designer? I haven't had the chance to look it up?
ReplyDeleteIsn't Bella's dress descriped in Breakin Dawn???
ReplyDeleteI think Bella would go for a very very simple dress, then again, Alice bought the dress right? :P
I haven't read Breaking Dawn yet soo..
I think the Monique Lhullier dress is most like what I imagined it from the book. However the really modern one.....with the low back. LOVED that one.
ReplyDeleteAlso, yeah....does anyone know why they keep mentioning it for the Eclipse movie? They get married in Breaking Dawn....
ReplyDeleteyes,yes...Monique Lhullier is the one...love the dress...i like what they pic but my fave is Monique Lhullier....
ReplyDeleteLela Rose was my favorite. But the Victorian era is over the top lace and frills, long sleeves and lots of bead work. Her hair should be pulled up and away from the face with light curls about the face. I like Alices train in the book. It has to completely depart anything Bella would wear, to fit in with 1918. I always wished Stephenie had elaborated on Edwards attire. She seriouisly dissapointed me on that! I KNOW, WE should design the dress! Who better knows the story then we do?!
ReplyDeleteThey get married in Breaking Dawn but at the end of Eclipse Alice shows her the dress for the first time.
ReplyDeleteThose two are my favorites!!!!! I'm excited about Breaking Dawn!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMonique Lhullier's dress is the best option. So femenine so '20....
ReplyDeleteI really like the Lela Rose one the best, the monique one is my second choice
ReplyDeleteLela Rose alllll the way, but i do agree that none of them are what i saw in my head whilst reading!
ReplyDeleteI think the Monique Lhullier gown is beautiful -- it has just enough of a modern flair to be an Alice-worthy creation, but maintains true to the novel's description of the high-neck, the Edwardian feel, and the inverted Calla lily. I think I'd ditch the big sash, however.
ReplyDeleteToo bad Stephenie can't work with one of the designers to come up with what SHE envisioned.
I love Monique Lhullier too!
ReplyDeleteAnd she's a Filipina.....
But she grew up in America...
Like me!!!!!
I like the Monique dress then the Lela dress.
ReplyDeleteI agree with seabeacon8 and hope a designer reaches out to Stephenie Meyer and work to design the dress she had in her mind while writing Breaking Dawn. That would be PERFECT!
Wonderful designs of all the wedding dresses!! I just love the first sketch!!
