Can we look forward to a Flying Feather Romp on Isle Esme?

Pic Source: holly

Ted Casablanca spills some good Breaking Dawn gossip from his "source", and shares that we can expect a hot Isle Esme:
First up: Deep Twi tells us that execs over at the studio know their audience. And it's hardly just made up of 13-year-old girls. Don't expect an R rating or anything, but as far as we've heard, the film will retain the original book's "sexual heat."
I hope that the movie fills in the blank from the fade-to-black honeymoon! Anybody else?

Also, Ted dishes on whether the entire cast will be back:

"Everyone will be back," Deep Twi assures us. [...] In fact, according to Deep Twi, dates for Breaking Dawn haven't been locked in yet because the studio wants to ensure the entire cast will be good to go.

  1. Ooh, can I play the cleaning lady who comes in and is revolted by what she knows is going on, on Isle Esme? I got my "morte" down pack w/other Portuguese sayings.

Hmm, am I remembering this correctly? For shame its been a whole month since I read the book.

  2. "Can we look forward to a Flying Feather Romp on Isle Esme?" they better deliver!!!

If they don't stay true to the book, especially with all the juicy sexy parts of Bella and Edward I'm not sure if the Summit is prepared for the Twilighters' fury...

  3. I seriously hope that breaking dawn is done over 2 films.
There is no way they can fit breaking dawn into one 2 hour movie. It would not be a true representation of breaking dawn.
There are way two many pivotal, key points in the book. For them just to gloss over it in one movie would be a shame.

I think i read somewhere, that stephanie was of the belief that it should be made over multiple movies.

    Just my take.

  4. why not make it a 3 hour movie?! then everything would fit in. and there`s so many movies out there which are 3 hours long.

  5. As someone over 30, I just wish they would make the movie rated-R and just be done with it!! Kids see so much sex and violence these days anyway...

  7. I want them to stay true to the book for sure. But I don't want them to ellaborate any more on the honeymoon parts than the book did and make it too sexy. If you want to watch that, go see a porn movie or something. There's a hell of a lot more that I'd like them to focus on besides having an explicit sex scene thrown in there. It doesn't have anything to do with kids seeing it or whatever, that's their parents problem, but for me, I just want to see the entire book portrayed well and not just parts of it...ya know?

  8. How about losing the baby part completely and prolonging their stay on Isle Esme? And Edward changing her there so that she doesn't have to sleep anymore.. And Bella kills the cleaning lady for being up their ass all the time and disturbing the activities.. I wouldn't mind if the whole movie took place on Isle Esme..
And the Volturi can't come near them because Bella, naturally, has the whole island under her love bubble..

  9. random question but where would they film the Isle Esme stuff anyways? would they go to some private island or something?
    hmm.
    just wondering.

  10. I think a happy medium can be accomplished in respects to satisfying adult Twi fans and still having caution for the kiddies. I personally will not be satisfied with a fade to black. I think they can do a lot with a PG13 movie, look at 'The Notebook.' Obviously the honeymoon scene where Edward is bare butt nekkid in the water will be a good @ss scene (ha! no pun intended). But I think where the book left off (before the fade to black) the movie can and should pick up. After all, with the austere nature and chaste manor of the story this is the moment that was built up: sexual tension, longing, passion, and sensuality needs to be portrayed, not skipped over. I have faith that it can be done tastefully.

  11. @ THparkle -- Exactly! ;);) Sex can be shown on film tastefully. I don't know why some people want to "skip it" completely like in the book (or the "fade to black" moment as you say ;) As you state, it "needs to be portrayed"... I totally agree!

  12. I know I would be very pissed off if they made Breaking Dawn Rated-R. Imagine the outraged fans Summit will have on their hands if the majority of avid Twilight readers aren't old enough to get into the final movie. PG13 is probably the best compormize available. I just hope they realize this before they disinclude myself and other fans under the age of 18.

  13. haha TJB, i lauged when i read you comment.

i dont think it should be a cut toblack moment. why dont we have a titanic type thing? thats not so distasteful and unthinkable (:

  14. I want them to stick to the "fade to black". If they make it R rated I won't watch it. Even though I am a Twihard. Call me old fashioned, but movies like "Raiders of the Lost Ark" where it fades to black are sexier to me than any movie sex. I love that it is left out in the book and left to our imaginations. And in case you are wondering--I am a 43 yr old mother of 6 who LOVES sex. I love reading romance books with sex. But I don't want to watch it! (Even with Robward!)

  15. Stephanie, Merlin love her, couldn't really write sbout whst she has never experienced. Mormon sex is well, lets just say that it leaves alot to be desired. If you have only had sex with one person, you don't relly know what you could be missing. Thats why it kinda stops. Plus she really did not want to be excommunicated. The vampire thing was bad enough for the church. Now Summit knows better. They have to know how frustrating that section was for adults to read. And they are not stupid either, it going to be really hot I bet.

  16. See I betcha Anonymous 43 yr old mother of (gad) 6 is a mormon too. LOl Maybe not but that is how mormon ladies think. I am not Mormon bashing I used to be one for most of my life in fact, but I discovered THE REAL WORLD and I like it there.

  17. as a Brazilian, I am hoping they come to Brazil!!! It's really beautiful here!! lol

  18. E3Q, that's completely ridiculous. it doesn't take multiple sexual partners to make sex good/what you want it to be. and I have a number of Mormon friends whose sex lives sound pretty exciting and wonderful to me (yes, we talk about s-e-x, geez!)

i hope they leave the details OUT of the movie. they're not necessary. i don't need to see them and i liked that the book didn't find the need to specify anything in order to get the point across. i liked just 'seeing' the feathers and knowing that way what had happened. i think seeing it would take something sacred away from 'just knowing.' especially because there is bruising and feathers everywhere, i don't need to SEE that - - it's not 'just sex' and it can't be like 'the notebook,' for crying out loud, which was completely sweet and innocent as a 'first time.' no one had any bruises or questions about what happened the next day.

summit, keep the details where they are now: in our heads.

  19. TheEvilAngel-
Stephenie wrote the love scene as best as she could. Of course she won't have a problem in the movie not being fade to black.
We could do a Notebook sort of thing and that's fine. And then fade. It's not like most of haven't seen sex or experienced it before.
And I'm Mormon and nobody was mad about Stephenies books.
And E3Q you don't know what goes behind the walls of our homes. YOU'LL BE SURPRISED AT HOW MANY MORMONS ARE WELL EXPERIENCED IN THAT FIELD.
SHE WROTE IT THAT WAY AND come on there's sex everywhere did you really need more ?
YOU ALL HAVE IMAGINATIONS USE IT !

  20. E3Q-
Well since you use to be Mormon YOU SHOULD KNOW BY NOW. And yes you don't need multiple partners to be experienced and to have fun.

  21. Lexi-
Now that I think of it maybe it wouldn't work as a Notebook sort of thing. Maybe something sweet and cute like the book.

  22. OKAY!!!!they can do like the note-book!yes i am one of the mny twihards under 18 but i mean come on i think that KIDS UNDER 12 shouldnt b reading the twilight series anyway! and they should stay exactly to the book!!! if not they will have the rath of hell upon them!!!! and last thing! ALL YOU TWIMOMS! yea my mom is one but i mean ITS NOT LIKE WE DONT SEE IT ORHEAR ABOUT IT IN SCHOOL!!! IN 8TH GRADE they pass out CONDOMS TO PUT ON A BANANNA!!!!!!!!!! so i mean its not lik we've never seen it before!

  23. if they stick to what was written in that part there shouldnt be a problem. if you see them go to the bed and then it fades to black or even if the camera starts moving up away from them and then it shows the morningwith the feathers and the bruises that should be enough and then everyone should be happy with that.

  24. In my opinion, the book wasn't THAT overly sexual-it didn't even describe any detailed sex scenes. It only explained enough so that it would lead you in the right direction for your imagination to follow. I think that if they keep it true to the book, it will be fine.

Like many others have said, it can be tastefully done. They don't have to make it a porno, but they don't have to leave out any of the good stuff completely if you know what I mean!

Also, all the fans under 18 have already been exposed to sex anyway through school, the media, other films, etc. Stephenie Meyer has already sent out a good message already (Abstinence before marriage)so it's not all bad.

  25. I think that the sence should not b skipped cuz its an important sence its wht they have been waiting for...i wouldnt care if they made Breaking Dawn rated R anyway cuz i think kids under 12 shouldnt even be reading about these books cuz 1.there not old enough and 2.they might not understand it

  26. for me it's much better that they focus on the passionate kissing scenes rather than sex scenes. there is such alot of other action to get through before and after the honeymoon. am more interested to know how they'll deal with the birth scene.

    ReplyDelete
  27. My two cents on this whole "sex scene"... I'm pretty sure it's not going to be a whole fade to black thing, maybe snippets. And perhaps, by then, Rob will have planned a grown up movie where those of us interested can see him in (almost) action.

  28. I would love to see this!!! I can imagine them in the beach with swimsuit of course and then kissing and a closeup to the moon and the next day Bella is cover in feathers!!!! hahaha I insist that they should keep Chris Weitz to film Breaking Dawn! As far as I see with New Moon he's done a great job so maybe they should consider it! I can't wait to see this movie!!!!
