Bryce was first choice for Victoria?

  1. Yeah, you know...for me, this doesn't really put Bryce in a good light. The part was to little for her??? It kinda sends the message that she thought she was above this. And of course NOW she wants a piece of the pie. *shakes head, rolls eyes*

  4. Don't be too sensitive, Bryce is a big name so it's only natural she is not gonna take all the roles offered to her but choose the right ones at that time. Twilight was nothing back then and didn't probably seem like a good choice, no big names was casted remember. Her taking the role now doesn't mean 'she wants to have pice of the pie' now. I think people are just looking for reasons to not like her.

I don't get why Cathrine did say this though, she sounds a bit bitter to me, maybe trying to take Rachelles side?

  6. I cannot STAND Catherine I think she did a horrific job on Twilight and now she's milking it for all it's worth. New Moon is going to OWN Twilight so much! and I agree with ANON. She sounds a bit bitter and I think she is doing it for the attention. I think Bryce is a talented and beautiful actress and I think everyone needs to get over the fact that Rachelle isnt Victoria anymore. I mean she's over it so we should be too. Lets focus on what the movie is really about which is the love triangle between Bella/Edward/Jacob and not on who is playing who.

Before the announcement that Bryce was signed up for Eclipse I have never heard of her. OOohhh wow she was in Lady in the Water and The Village and didn't have extremely HUGE parts in those. Before Twilight I knew who Kristen Stewart was and Nikki Reed but never Bryce what's her face. I knew who her dad was -- Hollywood big wig director Ron Howard better. She may think she's bigger of a star than she really is! Phew...okay my rant is over! LOL!
    Team Rachelle...sorry still bitter!

  8. I think it's great how all the cast have embraced her, without just forgetting Rachelle. Their attitudes are perfect in the situation, it's sad, but that doesn't mean we should be childish about it. And the fact that they originally tried to get Bryce only proves a lot of people wrong, who were saying she's totally wrong for the part, and Summit only want her because they wanted Ron Howard to direct something for them.

  9. I hate when they change the characters! its so annoying! when they did that in harry potter it ruined it for me, but at least they had a reason i mean he HAD to be replaced obv, i guess shes not a huge part tho so it doesnt really matter i guess, bummer for rachel tho! xx

  11. This explains why Summit got rid of Rachelle the way they did. It wasn't about schedule conflicts as they had claimed. Bryce Howard probably put out feelers that she was interested in the role now & Summit was all to happy to oblige & they found a reason to replace Rachelle.

It also explains their ridiculous excuse that they gave saying they only found out on July 20th that Rachelle had a conflict & then had a recast ready so fast. It was all a set up.

You guys who think this was all a coincidence just don't understand the kind of cut throat town Hollywood is & the way the Studios operate, throwing people under the bus is standard operating procedure in Hollywood.

I hope this gives Rachelle what she need to win her law suit against Summit or at least a hefty settlement.

Rachelle gave her all to Summit & to the fans. She took the small role, magnified it & was really looking forward to Eclipse. How terrible for her to be cast aside like this. I may be the only one, but I think it's a shame she was treated this way by Summit just bc they thought someone better came around.

  12. I agree with all who are Team Rachelle. All of the original cast took a career risk with a small movie that paid off big time! They should be rewarded for that risk not tossed aside for an actress that didn't want to take that risk, but who now wants to ride the Twilght Train when the part/franchise is big enough for someone of her self percived stature. I'm sure slowly but surely little bits and pieces of what really went down between Summit and Rachelle will leak out. The truth always comes out...eventually.

  14. AKBKWOLF SAYS: Summit knows they can do whatever they want and the Twi-hards are going to still come. No matter how pissed off we are, they know we can't do anything about it. I wish there was some ramification to Summit for being stupid and greedy. Money goes to the head quickly, doesn't it? You’re a small indy film company, you get a mega hit, and suddenly you can walk on water and OVER anyone you want. I feel sorry for Rachel, BDH will NEVER be my Victoria. You don’t treat people like that, and being too good for a “small” part in the 1st 2 movies yet good enough for the major part in the 3rd – I don’t think so, any respect I might have had for BDH (which there really was none to start with) is gone. I'm still hoping Rachelle’s legal eagles are good and, if they can't get her role back, then they at least make Summit PAY for their greed. The fans deserve to know what a bunch of crap Summit is feeding to us with their "scheduling conflict" BS. Hollywood doesn't work that way. To "find out" about a scheduling conflict on July 20 and have a replacement 2-3 days later DOESN'T HAPPEN, no matter how huge Twilight is. Summit made money, it has added a slew of "big" names, and I guess they chose someone who thinks she's a "star" and has a Daddy to back her up to take the place of someone who took the chance with the "small" part that BDH was too good for. Hopefully Karma will bitch slap Summit somewhere down the road - and BHD too.

  15. Except for KristinMMC all of the sisters above have said pretty much what I think. Don't forget Rob's expressing his surprise after the Oscars about Ron Howard greeting him warmly, etc. It was probably too late at that point to get his daughter into NM, but I'm sure he's powerful enough in Hwood to correct what may have been her error in judgment about Twilight---of course, at Rachelle's expense. I also see no reason why we as fans need to 'get over it'; we have a perfect right to feel badly used since it's our money that's on the (Summit) line.

  17. Catherine doesn't sound bitter at all! I'm glad she is telling it like it is! BDH didn't want in when Twilight was this small indie like moviem now that it is this worldwide hit ahe'a on board! What about Rachelle the little people always get run over by the strong!

  18. After seeing the interview I was dazed. I was willing to give BDH the chance, not her fault that Summit decided to replace Rachelle, then I seen this. Now my opinion has to agree with the majority here, if it wasn't good enough to start with why decide now to do. Because it is a bigger role and probably a nice pay check too. Summit just blows my mind away and now so does BDH.
