Everytime I go by Hot Topic at the mall, I'm dying to go inside and get myself an Edward T-shirt. Alas, I wouldn't be caught dead by my coworkers (or my 12 y.o. cousin) wearing one. ReplyDeleteI have a sparkly heart exactly like that one hanging on a red ribbon from my rear view mirror and it always makes me smile. I know about that invisible pull to go anywhere that has Twilight merchandise, but I just can't bring myself to go public with my Twi-addiction either. Luckily my teenage daughter is a huge Twi fan too, but even she rolls her eyes at me sometimes. If only she (or my husband) had any idea of the depths of my addiction...! ReplyDeleteI got a keychain from an Etsy vendor that says "Be Safe" in the font that's supposed to be Edward's handwriting. Makes me smile because none of the other moms at school realize it's a Twilight thing, they just thing my hubby is sweet. lol
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh. I actually have 2 different Twilight shirts, but I only wear them at home and to sleep in. My husband isn't thrilled about sleeping with Edward staring at him, but that's too bad.

I have one almost identical to that from Etsy! But mine is on an antique brass chain. I bought mine from JeweledAmbrosia. I, too, feel that at a few years over 29 I have no business in a Twilight T-shirt but this bracelet lets me keep the boys close at all times and is inconspicuous to the untrained Twicrack Addict eye. DH didn't even notice it for a good 2 weeks!
ReplyDeleteI can't wear bracelets, they get in my way when typing and writing but I have a Cullen crest keychain that's just great and for some reason I love the "heaviness" of it.
ReplyDeleteMy co-workers know about my Twilight obsession so I'm not too embarrassed to start bringing in my Twilight lunch box (Hot Topic! Choice of 2 designs) but I opted for the Cullen Family design, even though I wanted the Edward design, because even though I'm comfortable with them knowing that I love Twilight, they don't need to know how Robsessed I am. ^_-
i got (that) wolf charm of ebay and a crystal heart at craft/bead store and added them to a lightly decorated charm bracelet I already had, so I always have that little bit of twilight with me, just for me

ReplyDeleteLet me tell you something TCA: last week at was at Hot Topic and there was a woman (she was like 45 -50 years old) and she was talking out loud about Edward Cullen!!! She was like oohh look I want this t-shirt and her daughter told her to get the one were appears Bella and she said no i don't want her I want Him! Then she said that she was going to buy the New Moon t-shirt and she wasn't going to work the day of the premier here in Puerto Rico!! She was like crazy looking at all the stuff they had! I understand that my level of obsession is not that high hahaha maybe I'm a little ashamed to show my emotions in public and that's why I feel like home here!!!

as for not being willing to wear an Edward shirt...we'll, Mr. TCA already is suspicious of my incessant blogging habit; all this time, he's had no clue how much i actually blog. :-) i think wearing edward to bed would blow my cover.
hmm, im a hairdresser and not so much a closet fan, but as many of the bloggers here say, im not about to flaunt how deeply obsessed i am. having said this, its probably a reason i wouldnt wear the bracelet because once people figure out what it is, you're secret's blown. ur oficially obsessed. i think stick to the obvious, bigger stuff like buying th cd and t shirts cos its kinda silly and funny, and nobody thinks u take it seriously. its when u try to be sly that people look at u funny,

ReplyDeleteI disagree with Anonymous (4 up) we can be twicrack-heads and not want to wear those horribly ugly shirts! I was at the zoo with the fam and saw a 20something lady walking around w/ an Edward head plastered on her chest and I felt embarassed for her. I finally broke down and bought a black one with Twilight in that famous font. Of course it was cut to fit a size one pre-teen so I look like a stuffed sausage in it. might wear it out when I can throught a jean jacket over it :)

I have been a closeted Twilight addicts for a few years now. This summer I finally felt the sweet releasing by announcing my hidden pleasure. I now sport a "twilight mom" bumper sticker and I got some really cute twilight mom tees. What's a girl to do, by how could I go on being so ashamed of something I love so much :)
