ReplyDeleteI am sorry, but I am old enough to remember Joan Jett and the Runaways and Kristen Stewart looks so miscast! Joan Jett always looked tough and cool, even at a young age - Kristen looks like someone dressed up for Halloween in her mother's rocker gear with a bad haircut. I'm just not buyin' it.

Ha! I've turned a new leaf, and will not be so judgemental about KStew. We all have our isses to overcome, and, no one is perfect; However, as a public figure, and the lead role in a tween flick, she soes act as a role model. Whether she signed up for that or not, is not really her choice.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, too many of today's youth rely on the media and magazines to determine the norms of society, therefore, KStew is negativly affecting the youth in the sense that she is smoking, and the tweens think that it's cool.
It's sad that tweens are reliant upon the media to determine acceptable weight, ways to dress, and unsafe 'acceptable' habits (smoking/drinking)...but, that doesn't change that this is how it is.
So, in summary, though KStew deserves the right to lead her life the way she chooses, she should also be aware (as a public figure) that she does have an impact on the youth that consider her a role model.
She looks great with her new look, hair style.

I just saw a 1977 video "Wasted" of The Runaways, and Kristen Stewart is IDENTICAL to Joan Jett. She's going to be amazing in this. Check it out.

With KS's shoulders hunch like that, smoking and the costume, she looks like a thug. She's close looking enough to Jett but the thing about Jett are her eyes. They are the most beautiful dark brown eyes. KS doesn't have that and doubt she'll wear brown contact, but who knows.
