He was not hurt.
The 23-year-old London-born actor had been inside most of the morning filming scenes for his new movie Remember Me.
A team of five security guards were trying to fend off a crowd of teenaged girls when Robert was leaving the bookstore.
It was pouring rain as they tried to hustle him quickly across the busy street to the safety of his trailer.
Some of the teen girls were hysterical and Robert rushed across the road. As he did so, a taxi grazed him. The cabbie slammed on his brakes as soon as he realized what had happened.
It appeared as if the cab hit Rob in the hip. He stood there for a moment looking stunned. The bodyguard next to him checked if he was okay and then screamed and the fans: "You see what you did, you almost killed him!"
Ok. This story -- if true -- is really disturbing. Please respect Robert's space.
I am freaking out! Oh My God! These bitches are going to kill him! Why can't they hire people to take better care of him! My roomie is going to freak when she sees this!

ReplyDeleteThis is really crazy - I don't know why they don't close off the shooting area better. I know it's hard to close off the area when the actual scenes aren't being shot but they could try a bit harder. They shoot film and TV on my block all the time and granted it is annoying having to wait for clearance to get to my apt. - I know this is supposedly an indie film but come on this is crazy. Are economic times really that hard for them to block of the area better?

ReplyDeleteRob has had one psycho fan attack after another this week and it is not okay. It goes without saying that I am Rob fan and a huge twilight fan, however these incidences are going to make him even more paranoid and bitter at his notoriety rather than appreciative of his loving fans.
Please, please, please act like compassionate human beings out there and stop compromising poor Rob's safety and sanity!
I honestly feel bad for Rob. he must feel aweful, but there isnt much that he can do. his fans dont just try to talk to him. they try to molest him. and thats not cool. why cant fans just nicely go up to him and ask for a pic.. if he says no, then its a no and walk away... but Nooooo..... Grrrrrr.

He needs better security, maybe this accident-thank GOD he was not badly hurt-will be the wake up call that Summit needs to get their act together and get him better security. I would not be a bit surprised if he threatens to pull out of the movie, I would, my life being in danger would not be worth it. His poor parents are probably beside themselves worrying about his safety.

Very, very disturbing!! Rob looks like he's loosing his shit a little- The pressure of people screaming and attacking one can only last so long, without going a little batty- I know he wants to try to be normal in all this frenzy, but he should go underground for a little while until the psycho's at least are gone(they never will be gone) but less of them!!!
