It's either that one, or another book with the same cover but Twilight wasn't the first with that cover.
Plus, loads of books have similar/the same book covers because a lot of them use stock photos for the cover and the only differences end up being whatever photoshopping the cover artists do (example - look up North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Hedley and Evermore by Alyson Noel, same picture of a girl used for each.)
Stephenie Meyer was inspired by the CS Lewis book cover when coming up with the Twilight cover.. she did mention this somewhere before, just can't remember where.. i think...
Umm, I think his cover and her covrer both have to do with , 'the forbidden fruit' and in Twilight Bella being the forbidden fruit to Edward. CS Lewis in his first Chronicles Of Narnia wrote about the forbidden fruit and how tempting it is, and maybe that has something to with this book...I donno. But I love the whole 'forbidden fruit' thing when it's taken to the extreme.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COPY-CATERS!!!!!!!!! That author should be a shame!!!!!!
Is sombody trying to get noticed? It's a sure fire way to have people do a double take. Smart marketing, but will eventually end up being sued. MORONS.
C.S. Lewis had his published long ago. Idk if anyone's noticed, but C.S. Lewis wrote the Chronicles of Narnia. If someone actually picks this book up and checks the most recent copyright date on it, then you can tell who originally had the book cover.
I checked forever ago when I saw this C.S. Lewis book in Barnes & Noble.. But I've forgotten now.
I noticed this last year while browing through barnes and noble... and yes the CS Lewis book was out WAY before twilight ever existed... I love me some twilight but the CS lewis book is a far better read in my opinion... I think its funny that people are calling Lewis a copycat... he's been dead for like 40 years... and if you have never heard of him ... put down the twilight saga and read other books people...
*lol*
ReplyDelete"Don't snap up the wrong book at the bookstore"

I'm sure that I would snap up the wrong book...:$
Wasn't the C.S. Lewis one out first though? :P

If anyone did copy someone else's cover it was Stephnie who copied Lewis's. Plain and Simple. Pls dont hate C.S. Lewis for it.
