Catherine Hardwicke Talks Twilight

  1. I love Catherine. I wish she had stayed on as director because she just seemed like she bonded with everyone. I love her carefree spirit.

  2. Ugh! Lady! Take a bow! Your time in the Twilight spotlight is done!

I've been rereading Twilight and just finished the Meadow scene....I'm so angry at what Hardwicke did to it! It was a beautiful moment for Bella and Edward just filled with sexual tension and she turned it into a staring contest.

    Can't wait for New Moon!

  3. You know, I have to say that the one scene I was looking forward to was the part when Bella was in the hospital in Pheonix and Edward played with her and kisses her to make her monitor go crazy. I HATED how the scene came out in Twilight really ruined the ending of the movie for me.

  4. Yeah, not to hate on her, but I really just didn't care for the hospital scene either. I really thought if I was going to cry at any point in the movie it would be there...however..I ended up laughing at the poorly executed scene instead...Let's hope New Moon is better. :)

  5. I agree, Twicat. She needs to bow out gracefully. She keeps blabbing on as if she's created a masterpiece and not something that is merely tolerated(but loved) because of the excellent casting.

  6. In all fairness, every where she goes she is probably asked about Twilight all day long. And I like Catherine's free spirit and think she was really into Twilight and cared about it. But I too felt cheated out of the hospital scene and especially the meadow scene.....it was a starring contest.....weird! I pray that NM will be better translated from book to screen.

  7. She needs to go away now, there is a reason she isn't directing the second film.

  8. I'm sure she a nice person, but for as long as I have been commenting on this blog site. I still think the movie has MAJOR flaws, could have been portrayed with so much better vision and direction, just using the book (which was really detailed in the writing). Can't completely put all the fault on CH, the screenwriting is what sucked too!! I know they still have the same screen writer,so I hope she has grown in expierence along with the cast.

  9. I was like all of you a little dissapointed at how they change A LOT!!! They keep the dialogue but the scenes what a mess!!! I mean I loveeeee Twilight but there was sooo much they could do!! If you see in the book there's a lot of feelings involved between Bella and Edward and the movie is just like bleh...She did a great job buttt I still think Chris's job is better. For what I have seen here and other blogs he tried to stick with the book and a lot of things remain the same...let's hope New Moon gets the feelings that we didn't see in Twilight... She should move on!!!
