Breaking Dawn Potentially Moving Forward? Who's Gonna Play Renesmee??

(Manip by xiggy89x)

Twilight Examiner reports that 'Breaking Dawn' has gone from being 'Optioned Property' to being a 'Script' in IMDBPro and has a planned spring 2010 start date, which means that Renesmee could be coming to a big screen near you in the future.

We know that IMDB isn't always reliable (remember Bella's Stove?), but hopefully we have a fourth movie to look forward to!

  3. I would love to see this movie made but have it be two parts.

  4. I sooo loved the first three books... and I sooo absolutely hated Breaking Dawn. So I'm not too sure about wanting it to see it made into a movie...ah, well...

  5. Even though I wasn't exactly thrilled with BD I still hope they make the movie.

And that picture kind of freaks me out for some reason... lol.

  6. OMG I really hope they make this movie. I do hope that they make it longer or 2 movies cause there is so much in that book they cannot cut.

  7. I'm really nervous about this being made into a movie - I'm just having a really hard time picturing great big pieces of this on the big screen (birth scene, Renesmee?). Also - with the bigger budget that New Moon has gotten and confirmation that CGI will be used for the cliff jump ... I fear a CGI Renesmee running around the screen for half of Breaking Dawn. Ugh.

  8. At first I was taken aback by how different Breaking Dawn was from the first three, but by time I finished it and really thought about it, I felt it was a brilliant way to tie up all of the romantic and moral dilemmas. Meyer is an amazing storyteller and never veered from her vision or the mythology.
I too, was skeptical how to make BD into a decent movie without being too gothic horror or graphic. But after watching a couple of Harry Potter movies in recent months, I think they can do ANYTHING with CGI which hopefully includes a hybrid vampire baby. We all know they'll have a buttload of money by the fourth flick to do spectacular effects. I'm excited to see all of these books come to life in the next couple of years.
(Not that I've thought about it a lot or anything.)

  9. I just hope that they give us some honeymoon action. hehe.

  10. Double Amen to the honeymoon action! ; )
I was so disappointed that Bella got preggers their first time! Ugh! But,
I enjoyed the rest of BD and I can see the end, with the gathering of all of the covens and showing their skills off, etc. being really cool! I can't help but wonder how Renesmee' will appear on-screen because some of the scenes in the book freaked me out and I know what they can do with CGI. I'm just imagining this little infant suddenly speaking like an adult with a full set of shiny white teeth....Something kind of unsettling about that. I'm hoping the next couple films with morphing wolves and Volturi will bring hubby on board with me. That would be awesome. I want a Twubby. hehe. Addicted to this site, btw! Thanks for feeding me, lol.

  11. I loved Breaking Dawn, I am 36 and i found that BD was geard toward the Adult than the Tween audience. The Romance, the real hot honeymoon (Bedroom scenes) but even the Birth. Ive given birth and it wasnt that pretty and neat it was rather messy and gross. I just feel it related to me more so and i found myself reading it over and over. The characters are more mature and evolved and if they made this a movie i would be made if they cut anything out.. Almost all of it is a necessity especial the love between Edward and Bella when she wakes up how she feels when she still longs for him more than she did before; they would need to not miss any of those little details they are what make the book. But i do think it should be Rated- R!

  12. I agree with NewEmber. I really think Breaking Dawn was aimed at older fans. I loved it. I've read many disappointed posts about the honeymoon fading to black while the birth scene was so graphic. Oddly I didn't notice the honeymoon scene fading out so I guess I was able to fill in the blanks. If you ask women who have lived life the birth events they have experienced tend to impact them far more than their "love events". So far it appears that the Twilight saga is a gold mine for Summit. They would be foolish not to make "Breaking Dawn". R rated movies make far less money than G or Pg rated movies so if their goal is to make money they need to keep it PG-13, which is a joke rating anyway.

  13. How can Reneesme NOT be CGI? I mean, the child jumps 8 feet in the air to catch a snowflake. How would they also find a series of real children that look that alike THAT close in age to each other?

I think they can make a real-looking CGI Reneesme . . . they'll just have to have a real baby for the actors to hold while filming, I guess.

ha ha. I guess Rob will have to hold a baby for a while, too, ha ha haaa! " And I don't like children. At all." haaaaa! :)
(it's silly that I think that's so funny)

Also, think of how 'visually dynamic' the gathering of the covens v. The Volturi will be at the end. Think of how many actors will be necessary!! I mean, they really couldn't cut any of them b/c the Cullens NEED a lot of witnesses for their plan to make sense. Having five witnesses isn't exactly going to phase The Volturi into listening to you . . .

Go big or go home, Summit!

  14. No no no. Please no.

  15. They need to elaborate on the HONEYMOON. We've all been waiting for this part to finally come! All that tension finally released. "Isle Esme" needs to come to life!

  16. WELL! i kinda really liked breaking dawn condraticting everyone's belives here, the book i hated was new moon.. it made me cry like anything! :'( but i am still looking forward for the movie cause i get to see my dream boy in it! :)
hell yea! i want honeymoon part.. and i really want breakind dawn to come out as a 3 hour movie
    love ya'll

    ReplyDelete
  17. I agree with Sarah, the lord of the rings did a 3 hour movie why cant Breaking Dawn? I really hated New Moon too, the end was the only good part but to have that good part we have to have the bad parts too as is LIFE and that is why i am so attached to this saga.

    ReplyDelete
  18. The Saga represents characters and a storyline of fantasy but THE EMOTIONS CAN ALL BE REAL LIFE and that is what relates to me and how I feel; I dont think i have felt something hit me this hard before, it is amazing.

  19. That is going to be a really wierd movie. I dont really like the book. So yeah....how can they have a real renesmee?
    doenst make sense

p.s. the faske picture is freaking hilarious!! the hands arent proportionate!
    lol
i laughed when i saw it!

  20. There are definitely parts of BD that I'd like to see as part of a movie... the wedding, honeymoon,& Bella changing into a vampire. But so many parts I hated... Edward asking Jacob to father a baby for her! I can't see Rob pulling that one off. Then Jacob and Rosalie holding it all the time, and all the other weirdo alien things the baby does. And suddenly her parents don't care about her life. Her father doesn't want details? What? I thought the characters went awry in it.

  21. If any of yo have seen the Curious Case of BEnjamin Button then you would know that the level of technology including CGI to bring to life Renesmee is out there. BD was geared more toward an older audience, but after everything Edward and Bella have gone through it makes sense that she would mature, therefore the story content with her. BD should be 2 movies, it is far too pivotal for all characters to be condensed down to 120mins.

  22. Whoa, the picture is weird! I think it would be foolish for Summit to stop after Eclipse, especially if the series continues to pull in the kind of money that Twilight has made. Fingers crossed!

    ReplyDelete
  23. hey!
I guess they need a lots of actors and actress but they can´t cut anything out.
So much is important to understand the following action...well...i must go...maybe i see you again

  24. i am a teenager and i loved bd i thinkh that it was a really good book. i dont think that they should make it rated r because some parents wont let kids see that and then summit will probably loose a lot of money. i mean it was not all that graphic the only part that i am worried about is the pool part. if they take the honeymoon out of it then the movie wont make any sence. so if they want to make money like twilight did then i suggest that they make it pg 13. and i totally agree the pic is really weird. and i do think that they should do the cgi otherwise renesmee will look really weird. and i think rob would make a really good father. all i have to say is thought that if they don't make a bd then they will have a lot of very unhappy fans and i will be one of them. that will ruin all of the other movies that they put out then. it would almost be like a big waste of money. i also agree that they should make it 2 movies because they need to describe a lot of stuff on all the characters. and they should have all the witnesses that they had in the book otherwise it will look stupid.

  25. oh and i forgot to add well i am 15 and i dont really read much but i have read the whole saga 4 times and it never gets old stephanie meyer did a great job. and when i first read new moon i agree that it was pretty boring. but then i read it again and i realzed that i loved it and that that book ties all 4 of them together.so if you read it again i gurantee that you will like that. stephanie meyer has enspired me to read vampire love stories and also to read. now i love to read vampire books and i love to read the whole saga as much as possible. but now i really love to read.

  27. i hope they cut BD into a 2 part movie there is just 2 much to that has to be in the movie.

they CAN'T cut out most of the book it all leads to the END

  28. I LOVED breaking dawn. hands down my favorite. but um..aparrently nobody is thinking about kristen stewart...AND WHAT AN AWFUL ACTRESS SHE IS. its almost physically painful for me to watch the first two movies. i just can't pictur her acting like a mom in the movie or being gorgeous enough to pull off a vamprie.

  29. i loved bd but i wonder how they're gonna do the whole honeymoon thing and still be able to keep they're teenage(tween) fans. That part was very graphic. and it can still be a whole movie. think about it the jackson 5 movie was like frekin 5 hours long and the color purple was like a billon hours long so you can still have it. plus they can just have intermissions like a hockey game or something

  30. i think that the little actress of Renesmee Cullen should be a little girl with blond ringlets and pretty red eyes. In the book Renesmee is part of three age groups 14-18 weeks 1-4years and 5-7 years. You need to pick three girls that are around those age groups.

    love from anonymous!

  31. Yea they should make it into 2 movies so they dont leave anything out!!!!

  32. Bella Thorne will be perect for play renesmee!

  33. ahhhh :) this movie better be oming !! it should be pretty long orr ill be mad !!

  34. i don't know who it was that said Kristen Stewart is a totally rocking actress and who ever said that she was an awful actress can kiss my but cause she awesome and she is like the one of the most prettiest people ever so don't hate!!!(but i gotta agree with you there i can't really see her as a motherly figure.

  35. Renesmee cant have red eyes. In the book it clearly says she has Edwards eyes. BEFORE he was a vampire. And they were pretty green.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think Renesmee should be played by several young children. Like take a baby for one scene, a 2yr old, 4yr old, and a teenager. THey can use technology and special effects to make them a bit similar as well.
Breaking Dawn movie has GOT to have alllll the details in the book. I mean theres the marriage, honeymoon, jacob's point of view, birth, the volturi and witnesses. Summit has got to take a step up and go big on this movie!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think Summit should take a little twist in the movie. In the end, they could put 6 years later where Renesmees 12yrs old and shes hangin out with Jacob and elaborate on what happened to everyone.

  38. Can't wait for Breaking Dawn movie but cant wait for Eclipse movie more! It's coming out in two days :) YAY!!

  39. I personally think that Bella should have chosen Bella. Team Jacob♥ maybe summit could tweak the Breaking dawn movie a bit and Bella could choose Jacob...lol

  40. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! TEAM EDWARD ALL THE WAY!! PERIOD...

  41. I saw the midnite showing of Eclipse on the 29 and it was awesome =D Team Jacob! Can't wait for Breaking Dawn!

  42. okay, so twilight was awesome, new moon wasnt very good, and eclipse was great! so i have high hopes for breaking dawn. reading twilight has changed me soo much! i am a teen, and the character bella made me realize that being yourself is much better than trying not to be (following the crowd). she did nothing to change herself to fit in the people around her, and the outcome was falling in love with her soulmate. stephenie meyer is a genious! i think kristen stewart can portray a mother because she is good at every character she portrays. breaking dawn is coming out november 2011!!! i cannot wait that long!!
