*Spoilers* More Filming Footage: Bella Motorcycle Mystery

The Bella Motorcycle Mystery (Twilight New Moon) from VancityAllie on Vimeo.

Vancity Allie has another amazing post documenting filming at the Paramount theater last night, where she spied Bella on a motorcycle! **SPOILER WARNING**
In this scene in the movie, Bella leaves the theatre with Jessica (the first time she goes to the theatre, not the second time when she goes with Mike and Jacob)… and encounters the same gang that she did in the first movie. And they’ve got motorcycles. She decides to go on a joyride with one of the gang members to try to upset Edward into appearing in her head again. Only in this particular movie scene, they actually filmed Rob Pattinson standing right beside Kristen Stewart telling her not to go, with Kristen standing and talking to the gang member beside his bike.
See the whole awesome story at Vancity Allie!

  1. What! That's not in the book. I know it has to change, but it still makes me sad.

  2. I'm not very happy with that ! I know it's a new scene but why would they put two motorcycle scenes in the movie ?
    MAKES ME SAD TOO !!!

  3. It is weird to have two motorcycle scenes. They should of left it the way it was in the book but maybe it was the best way to show Edward there physically instead of in her mind ? But still it upsets me that it's not like the book.

  4. I don't think it's the same gang as in Twilight. Bella would not get on a bike or approach those guys. Not the same actor either.

  5. Im not upset that their making these changes. I think alot of things have to change to accomodate the movie better. I think these little changes will help us visualize that Bella has gone over the edge of sanity. Most of her desperation is internal dialouge. So this scene is perfect in a way. I think jumping on a gang members motorcycle counts as destructive behavior. I like it.

  6. It is hard to see the changes but it will help people understand how she was going nutty imagining Edward talking to her.

  7. First of all, thank you and Vancity Allie for posting the great set report.

I agree with Megan, these guy are not the same gang featured in Twilight. And I don't mind that they are introducing the bikes here. Probably Bella will get the idea that riding bikes = seeing Edward from this encounter and will go directly to buy one. So they won't have to show the whole reasoning behind why and when she purchases the bikes in the book.

    Have a Cullen weekend!!

  8. WHAT THE H#@%!! The same scriptwriter is going to ruin this one also. What is wrong with the way S.M. wrote it?!? I don't mind (I think) that they are putting Edward in the scene (rather than just his voice) but come on, there is no need to add a motorcycle gang. I am not hopeful that they are going to please us, the loyal readers.

  9. I think anonymous is right, this is probably where she realizes that the danger of the bikes help her hear/see Edward, and that is the reason why she starts to ride them with Jacob.

  11. As long as we get a hell of a lot more Pattinson Bella can hang from the chandelier for all I care.

  12. I think this is a wonderful idea! I mean, for Twilight I hated the changes to the script...but because there's not a lot of Edward in New Moon, they might as well give him a reason to be. That reason it: dangerous motorcycles. I think this film might actually be better after being screwed with.
    TY for the awesome update!

  13. hmmm, not liking this scene. As i recall it was a different set of guys, and she just walked over to them. but i guess since i read all the books this time (as opposed to me not reading twilight before watchin the first movie) Im open to new scenes, as long as they are relevant and add to the whole movie/book.

  14. I agree with Kerri and PT - I can just imagine a close up of Bella on the back of the bike, with the wind in her face and Edward in her head - it gave me butterflies just reading about it!!!
    I'm excited :D

  15. There is no reason to add these scenes...makes me wonder what they are taking out. The book is great...why are they ruining it? The first one would have been so much better if they had remained true to the book by having Bella escape to go to James at the airport (much more exciting than just walking out of the hotel)also they added some lame scenes that were not necessary. I hope this is not another disappointment!

  16. In the NM book, Bella THINKS the guys in Port Angeles were the same guys as in Twilight, but when she approaches them, she realizes they aren't the same guys. So, no, they wouldn't be the same actors as from the first movie.

Call me a mother hen, but . . . NO HELMETS?!
I hope Edward tells Bella 'you'd better put YOUR helmet on,' this time, a la the seatbelt in Twilight, ha ha!

  17. I really don't care to much what changes they make for new moon its not my fav out of the books as long as the main story line is there and they dont stuff around with the rest of the movies.

  18. I love the book but the way she just randomly stumbles across the bikes that someone is conveniently getting rid of is a bit forced. Adding bikes earlier in the movie gives her a direct connection to choosing that mode of Edward connection later. Books are very internal and changes have to be made to accommodate a visual medium. That's why they call it ADAPTATION. It's about adapting.
