New Moon Movie *Spoilers* (Maybe)

So, Perez has reposted some spoilerish Life & Style article about New Moon, and I was yawning until I saw the last point (hazards of being a TwiCrack Addict). Don't read ahead if you don't want to be spoiled, k?

Not-a-Spoiler 1: Bella takes a more daredevil approach in the film, pushing fate in order to make Edward appear to her. (Yawn. Been there. Done that. Next.)

Not-a-Spoiler 2: There's also an action-packed scene wherein Laurent fights back against the werewolves who destroy him in the book. (Expected as much, didn't you?)

Sounds Like a *Spoiler* 3:
Additionally, in the book Edward says he will turn Bella into a vampire only if they marry. In the movie, however, he offers a different ultimatum.
Um, hello??? *?&**&%&%^*&# Maybe I'm just slow, or maybe this came from the leaked NM script, which I didn't read. There better be a freakin' proposal!!

P.S. Lately, Perez Hilton blog has been going downhill. Blog is just not as funny anymore. Does he now use ghostwriters?

P.P.S. Whoopsies -- Didn't realize what a fuss this blog post would cause, or that the conversation would evolve the way that it did -- DO NOT READ THE COMMENTS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE POTENTIALLY SPOILED OR MISLED ABOUT ANYTHING

P.P.P.S. I do not endorse sharing of the allegedly leaked NM script, which if true is a copyright infringement; That said, please don't post links to said doc, and don't take it personally if I may delete the link. xoxo

  1. Oh, no. First one trick pony Kris Allen wins American Idol over 'I would listen to you sing the phone book and weep' Adam Lambert, and now I read this???

Where are The Volturi when I need them??????

(p.s. PLEASE don't let this be true - - no 'different ultimatum' or Melissa Rosenbutt's gonna have to fight off an angry mob . . . including ME! Grrrrr

    'Marry me, first.'
Three easy words and no one gets hurt. :)

(I kid, of course . . . in case anyone doesn't have a sense of humor)

  2. Can anyone who read the leaked script confirm this? (please include a 'spoiler ahead' tag in your reply for those who don't want to read them, although I'd hope that 'those people' would know better than to read the comments section of a blog post about a spoiler, but . . . just in case . . you never know.

  3. WHAT! (Ithink I stopped breathing when I read this) I'm in agreement with you this better not be true there has to be proposal!!!!!!

  6. If this is true . . . grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I will not be a very happy lady.
It's better if they stick to the book and keep it simple. It's really not such a difficult thing to do!

  7. if there is no proposal...the rest of the saga wont make sense!
I swear to god [if there is one] the writers of the script are going to be PRETTY unhappy if there isnt one....just saying.
    Xk

  8. OMG no! We need him to say Marry me!!!!!! How are they gonna make Eclipse work if there is no proposal? Grrrrrr why oh why change things that are perfect in the first place?!?!?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Sex. Maybe Melissa decided vagina virgin Edward REALLY did want sex first. It is an adapted screenplay after all haha. JK.

  10. I'm afraid that Perez is correct. I did cheat and read the script (couldn't help myself) and there is no proposal. But remember, the leaked script is the 2nd draft, not the final draft and I am sure Lainey mentioned a proposal scene in her blog awhile back.

  12. How the fuck is there no proposal?

It was like in the movie Twilight; Edward and Bella don't say I love you... I mean, COME ON!

    I just... I can't... I mean... I CAN'T COMPREHEND THIS!

Man. I think they are doing a shitty job with this whole Twilight-Movie business... I mean Harry Potter kicked ass... Why couldn't Twilight kick ass??

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yeah, I read the script too, anf all it says is that "What are you willing to trade" and Bella says "anything" and Edward says "five more years as a human" .... No, there is no proposal. Didn't he propose in Eclipse anyway? Lets not get ahead of ourselves here, ladies! O_o

  14. I can't stand Melissa Rosenberg as the screenwriter. SHE SCREWED UP THE FIRST TWILIGHT SCRIPT AND NOW THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe they even considered hiring her a second time around. Why would they want to change an ALREADY CONFIRMED GOOD THING-THE BOOK IS PERFECT! Why change it and angry the fans. This is NOT Mellisa Rothenberg's story nor does she need to prove she's a good writer by trying to make the film better by changing the outcome! If she wants to make a great script, stick to the book! Only then will we want her back for Eclipse. If she ruins the script, the Volturi are going to look like fuzzy bunnies compared to the wrath of angry fans that are going to chew her a$$ out for butchering our beloved books. GRRR! I read someone, someone had read the script and the ending sucked (probably because of no proposal), however, I just go off of Twilighters Annonymous and in a recent interview with Robert, he said that New Moon will be everything everyone expected because it was just like the book and not to worry. I know coming from him, this must be true and I'll base my hopes on his words and hopefully all will turn out well or there will be hell to pay for Summit.

  15. Anonymous......No, there is no proposal. Didn't he propose in Eclipse anyway? Lets not get ahead of ourselves here, ladies! O_o

we are not getting ahead of ourselves. He does indeed ask her to marry him in New Moon. More or less she laughs at him and he says " you are wounding me ego. I just asked you to marry me" There is a more formal proposal in Eclipse ring and all.

that screenwriter is terrible. RP did say the reunion was a bit different from the book, so maybe possibly this shitty proposal may be true!

  16. this
    is totally
    screwed!

oh my lord, if he doesn't say those three words, the entire franchise is RUINED!!!!!!!!!

  17. *shakes her head* lets hope this is not the case.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Don't over-react...once AGAIN. There will be a proposal in Eclipse, a real one. That's all we really need anyway. Maybe there is some proposal in this too maybe not, we'll see. From a movie point of view, it wouldn't make any real sense if Edward would propose prperly in two movies anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  19. If there is no proposal scene in the one, there BETTER be one in the beginning of Eclipse.

    November, please come already =X

  20. i saw we petition against it!!!

  21. I really hope the ending of NM isn't horrible. As it is, they already made poor Edward look like a drag queen with all that makeup on the official poster. Bella lost her natural earthy look too. This is what all of us Twifans were worried about. I am still holding out hope...

    ReplyDelete
  22. It's an adaptation of the book, they will make some changes and they NEED to make some changes to make the movies good. We shouldn't be oversensitive about them changing some stuff, it's not a holy bible, they can change it. IMO no proposal in NM is just fine, it's okay if they leave it to Eclipse.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Calm down people. Number 1-there is a good chance that this isn' even true. Number 2-look at the way its worded. Offers her a different ultimatum does not equal not proposal. If you remember, in the book the go over several options before he brings up marriage. We know Melissa Rosenburg wrote the script...she is committed to staying as true to the books as possible...and Stephanie would not be on board if they screwed it up. They may push the proposal back to Eclipse, which would be just fine, because she doesn't really except until then anyway!

  24. New Moon Page 539 talked about what she'd be willing to trade..he offered 5 years, cut down to 3 but Bella bargained for 6 months. He said not good enough so the bargaining went on to 1 yr and he counter bargained for 2.

New Moon Page 540, he finally compromised with no time limit but she'd have to meet 1 condition with "Marry me first". I agree with Ana, he said this line in New Moon. ".....I just proposed to you and you think it's a joke" The official proposal happened in Eclipse but still it all started in New Moon re: 539 & 540.

MR improvised the script a little too much I think but they kept saying it's staying true to the book and SM backed it up. I just hope it's true.

  25. Yes; just to let you know; I do have a hold of the leaked script and to be honest, I was kind of dissapointed.
The words are true; there is no proposal scene at the end of the movie and not much of a romantic apology in Bellas bedroom when they come back from Italy. He does give her an ultimatium and thats it. I'm very sad.
Why couldn't they just add it in ? :( Us twi fans are going to be PISSSSSSEDD!

  27. The book is very romantic, the movie can't be as romantic without being too cheesy and over the top. That might be the reason of changing the end. (Like in the firts one I loved the lion and lamb dialogue on the book, but in the movie I just cringed when they said that). And I think we all want a good movie even if it differs from the book a bit...or would you rather have a bad movie which is excatly like the book?

Of course it differ from a book a lot and still be a bad movie :P hope that doesn't happen. But I don't see the possibility of it being excatly like the book and still being a good movie, that's not possible.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Change the ultimatum? Seriously? I'm heart broken! I wish we had a director (like Catherine Hardwicke) who was committed to not changing the feeling of the book.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I agree with Anon 8:06AM. They have to cut back on some of the cheese in order for it to transform successfully into a film. In the book it's sweet and you can lose yourself in the fantasy. In the fast paced context of a film the proposal may seem rushed and creepy, especially for people that aren't familiar with the books. The original Twilight was a mess, it's saving grace was the casting. Now that the cast has been completely over exposed there isn't that element of unexpected delight. If the movie can't cut it the second time around, no amount of hotness is going to save that. I really want New Moon to work.

  30. Ok I couldn't help my self.
    I read the ending.
    And anonymous is right.
    The ending falls flat.
They also change the ending with Jacob.
    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :(
The book's heart wrenching ending where Jacob reaches out to Bella and Bella tries to reach him but Edward doesn't budge is BY FAR one of my favorite scenes in the book.
    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :(

  31. Ok I just read the script if its the real one and I didnt see any problem with it, it still brought tears to my eyes and evokes the same feelings I got from reading NM. I think it will be a great movie adaptation of a book, things convey different from book to film like some have said before. Im sure they want to save the proposal for eclipse so he has a ring and everything..I think the movie will be great! I mean it would have been wonderful if it could have been in new moon but from that script I saw nothing wrong with the ending...still those powerful feelings there...ugh is it Nov 20th yet?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't know how to comment honestly. First of all, I know that things have to change or the movie would be 5 hours long (which would be completely fine with me). However, maybe they are saving all the drama for eclipse and the official proposal. I'm not going to get upset about it because as long as the proposal in Eclipse is done it's justice...then I won't be disappointed.

    ReplyDelete
  33. well i have practiced a great deal of strength to not look for the script. but you guys aren't making it easy. my husband is telling me to relax ans don't believe it but lots of ya'll are saying the same thing. then Stacy says it still brings out the same feelings. well...ok...if that happens. i don't know, i can see why they skipped the proposal. its not a real one anyway. i just wonder what the ultimatium is. is it in the book? is it something completely differnt? it can't be sex cause he wants to wait...ugh...

    ReplyDelete
  34. i actually read the script, and i REALLY liked it. i think it is pretty close to the book. sure, some changes, but they`re ok. i thought TWILIGHT was realy good , too, but according to this script NEW MOON seems to be even more closer to the book.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yea I have to say im pretty pumped about the movie, atleast we get a little clip in a few days!

    ReplyDelete
  36. ok i will admit. i like the book and the movie equally. some people will say oh the book is better. but this is the one time, so far, that i've enjoyed both. so, i will keep an open mind. :/ my husband however likes the movie more. i tried to get him to read the book and he couldn't go past chapter 4. i wonder what scene we'll see on the the 31st.

    ReplyDelete
  37. OK People calm down!!!! Edward doesn't propose in New Moon anyways, he proposes in Eclipse, no need for all this.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yeah he does really propose in Eclipse so it really isnt a HUGE deal if he doesnt in New Moon. I know you guys are pissed b/c he doesnt but he does want Bella to remain human for five more years

and let's remember a few things

    1. life and style are also the same magazine that said there was a love triangle between Rob/Kristen/Nikki and Perez Hilton is so full of crap seriously...

    2. Stephanie reads over the Script so she obviously didnt see anything wrong with them not putting the proposal in the movie. If she felt that it should've been it the movie then it would've been in the movie

but to say that New Moon is going to suck b/c the proposal isn't in it is just a bit messed up. I mean I think the movie is going to be great proposal or not.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I don't know what the fuss is about I heard they shot three different possibilities on the choice of marriage if he is the one to change her...there isn't a real proposal with a ring and all until the next book so what is the big deal?

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm going to give the different ending a chance. It would make the proposal in eclipse more special if it is the first time he proposes to her. But 5 more years as a human? Bella would have never setteled for that.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think they might not be showing the proposal in the New Moon movie because she doesn't accept. It barely made sense reading the book when you get to hear the thoughts in her head, I don't think it would make sense in the film. She is so devasted when he leaves her, runs to Italy to save him, then he proposes & promises to make her a vampire and she says no? I don't think they would be able to explain it right, you'd only get that from the bok. I actually like it better that they will do the proposal in Eclipse!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Anon @ 12:25 has my vote. That's what I was going to say. There were a lot of little things in Twilight (the movie) that were lost if you hadn't read the books...WE know what's going on inside Bella's head, and inside Edward's, to a point. People on the outside have NO clue what Bella's reasoning would be for dismissing it. Besides, we'll get the "full effect" in Eclipse.

Oh yeah, and then there's the fact that Life&Style mag just plain sucks. They're almost as bad as the National Enquirer!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I sort of agree with Diana (1:40). I mean I would be disapointed if the proposal is not in the movie but I do think from an outsiders point if there was a proposal at the end it would seem totally random and it wouldnt fit into the movie well even though it would make perfect sense to those who have read the book.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I get that is a movie, and it needs to be adapted to fit the time frame. But they pulled Harry Potter off really well, and Lord of the Rings (but that was three movies three hours long).

You have to admit that they pushed Twilight too fast. The relationship wasn't developed strong enough, and the entire movie felt rushed. Now, you want to do three more squeals, but the original was... EHHHH... sort of alright. I am not putting high hopes on New Moon... well, not until I see it.

AND... I REFUSE to read the script. I want it to be like when I first watched Twilight. That's why I'm being super careful reading anything about New Moon and any pictures or video that have been leaked. I want a surprise... I think reading it before hand totally ruins it :( So... I'm glad that the moderator of this blog will delete any url's to the script... Cause I don't even wanna be tempted!

    ReplyDelete
  45. The thing is that I don't think it's THAT much of a big deal. Because the real proposal isn't unti Eclipse. Still... Edward has caused Bella a lot of pain in the past months when he comes back. And the proposal was how Edward sort of made up for it, and it allows you to see how the time they were apart has stated to change his line of thinking. I think the relationship might not come off as strong to people that haven't read the book if he doesn't propose.

    ReplyDelete
  46. You know i was thinking about what sort of ultimatum Edward could give Bella besides the proposal, and I'm sort of coming up blank. It just can NOT be sex. That would ruin the entire series. (Although I'm starting to worry they're already doing a good job of it.)Do you guys think maybe the condition is she has to agree to stay away from Jacob? Bella would NOT go along with that. LOL. (Though that could be a good opening for Eclipse. Since they apparently also cut the scene in New Moon when Edward keeps Bella from hugging Jacob.) I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I soo Knew they will fins a way to ruin my favorite book!! How can they not include the proposal scene of the book!! this is outrage!!! aarrgghhh!!!! I say lets boycott the woman so sh ehas no part of Eclipse or Breaking Dawn!!! IF theres no proposal scene...

    ReplyDelete
  48. WHAT?! WHAT?! WHAT?!

The old addage comes to mind. DONT FIX WHAT ISNT BROKEN!

The proposal is the whole reason behind Eclipse and BD! Without the proposal, their relationship through Eclipse wont appear as desperate. You get the sense through out Eclipse that their negotiating the entire time, working out the kinks in their relationship while she's still human just to get to the inevitable, transformation.

I really wish Summit would hire another writer. I think Melissa is CLUELESS when it comes to how important these small details are to us fans. We're not an unreasonable fandom, but we know what works and what doesnt. Thats why Twilight, the movie, left us sctartching our heads. Without the meadow scene it left a HUGE hole in the movie! I wish Stephanie would have put her foot down.

The proposal is Edwards deep need to have a wife, an eternal companion. Thats why the proposal is so important to us readers. Because Bellas irrational reaction to it and Jacob getting in the way of that...well it leaves everyone involved, including the reader, desperate. Desperate for closure for all involved. Thus BD.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yeah, so I've cooled down. Rationality returned.

Now that I read some of your comments I guess I have to agree. Maybe the proposal would be a good opener for Eclipse. AS LONG as it is in Eclipse, thats all I care about. It would leave the non-readers wondering about Bellas STUPID reaction at the end of New Moon. Stupid non-readers.

    ReplyDelete
  50. At first I was deeply upset. But then I realized that no matter if the proposal is in NM or not....I know it was supposed to be. So as long as it's in Eclipse...I'll be okay. The only real people that will be missing out and slightly shocked at the proposal in Eclipse, will be those people that are only watching the movies(not reading the books). And, frankly, I don't care about them. They suck.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I DONT CARE ABOUT A PROPOSAL IN ECLIPSE. I CARE ABOUT THE PROPOSAL IN NEW MOON. ITS WHAT MADE THE ENDING SOOO FREAKING GOOD! I MEAN SERIOUSLY WHY IS STEPHANIE LETTING THIS WOMEN RUIN HER BOOK? I READ THE SCRIPT AND IT WAS HORRIBLE.. NO PLANE RIDE HOME, NO LONG CONVERSATION IN THE BEDROOM BACKHOME WHEN SHE WAKES UP, JUST RUSHED RUSHED RUSHED RUSHED.. IM NOT WATCHING THIS MOVIE.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I'm in agreement with Anon @12:25. I didn't like the way she didn't accept his proposal New Moon either. It didn't make sense after all they'd been through. I can wait for it in Eclipse if that's the way it works better. It might seem too rushed anyway when you have to squeeze everything into a 2hr movie. Hey, Rob says it's a great movie, that's good enough for me.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I think waiting for Eclipse for the proposal is ok. They probably want to make the marriage proposal a bigger deal with more emotion from both Edward and Bella in Eclipse. If I hadn't read the book, I know I wouldn't understand why Bella wouldn't accept Edwards proposal but want to spend eternity with him as a vampire.???
I do think there needs to be a conversation between them in her bedroom with a huge apology from Edward.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hello from Brazil, girls!
"I don't care about a proposal in Eclipse. I care about the proposal in New Moon" I couldn't agree moreeee!!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. i hate to break it to everyone, but any crew member involved in New Moon probably doesn't give a s(!t about what we say, so we all have to cry a river, build a bridge, and get over it people! :)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Refusing the proposal is one of MANY things Bella overreacts to: the birthday party/turning older, the initial proposal, Eclipse's proposal with the ring, the wedding.

Her 'reaction' will have already (we hope) been substantiated as 'how she is' with the b-day party overreaction scene (however, I do hope they tone that down a bit in the movie - I wanted to THROTTLE Bella in the book for it).

And that reaction continues in Eclipse on two more occasions.

So, it's important to establish 'that' with Bella's character.

Plus, YES, the NM proposal IS important . . . it's foreshadowing and it DOES show Edward's change of heart/commitment to Bella. He's not gonna leave, again - we know that, now.

Another thing that REALLY bothers me from what I'm hearing is the change in wording that Melissa pulls.
Stephanie's word choices are far more evoking of emotion, yet still simple.

Take, for instance, Jacob trying to find his way with Bella, wishing she'd fall for him, realizing she still loves Edward.
In the book, Jacob says, simply, but beautifully, "It's the other one, isn't it?"
(This *killed* me - - I FELT this line.)

In the movie? We saw the EW clip of Jacob saying, "It's him, isn't it? I can tell."

Now, which did YOU 'feel' more after reading?

Using the original language doesn't make the movie seem out of touch/place with 'the times.'
Having Edward say something about 'bruising his ego' is EMOTIONAL without being cheesy or 'too obviously for a reaction.'

I don't get Melissa. At all.

  60. Look...it is very difficult to adapt a book to screen and not lose something. I LOVED all of the books and to be totally honest...Twilight wasn't a very good movie. I loved it just because it was TWILIGHT...but if I had not read the books I would have thought it was terrible. I am sorry people...they changed things they shouldn't have. One example is when Bella escapes to go to the dance studio. They whole scene where is gets away from Alice and Jasper at the airport would have been EXCITING in the movie. Instead they just had her walk out of the hotel. Horrible. I could not believe it when they hired the same person to write the New Moon script. I lost hope then. I am sure she butchered this just as bad. I do think this is a better director though.
All of that said...Stephanie still has a say in what happens in the movie and I don't think she would let them change it too drastically. At least I hope. No matter what they do it is going to be hard to do justice to her wonderful books. Why don't we all just relax and when the time comes...just enjoy seeing our favorite and most beloved literary characters come to life. It will never live up to the book...so just enjoy it for what it is.

    ReplyDelete
  61. i still have issues about how bella goes to the dance studio. alice so would have seen that coming! and the airport thing is really exciting. eitherwho, i to, like kerri 4:28 said, have calmed down and rationally has returned. i'm okay with them leaving out the proposal now. seeing as how she doesn't accept anyway. however i'm now upset that they don't do the whole deep conversation? i was really looking forward to the whole, "i'm dead, i died" thing. it was really funny and sweet in the book. i'm re reading the eclispe right now and its really funny. well some parts. i really hope they keep in the part of where she tries to go see jacob and then he breaks her truck and she goes back to her room and shuts the window then opens it. it was cute.

    ReplyDelete
  62. ok, where is everyone getting the new moon script??!? thats my question!

    ReplyDelete
  63. No wayyy!!!!! There have to be at least a line where he says his condition about marriage!!! The official proposal is in Eclipse and I hope they don't change that too!!! This woman change the wholeee Twilight book and now is messing with New Moon! I hope they stay close to the book and choose carefully the important parts like this one!

    ReplyDelete
  64. As I said early this morning, the leaked script is the 2nd draft, not the final draft. So, we can still hope that Melissa Rosenberg included the proposal in her final draft. I must say, that I have to agree with what KERRI said before her rationality returned. Although Bella refused, setting up the proposal in NM does make it seem that a negotiation between E and B is taking place in Eclipse comparable to a game of chess full of emotion, tension, fear, doubt, love, and strategy. It's through this negotiation that Edward actually wins the chess match. On pg. 459 of Eclipse he is described as being "brilliant with joy and victory." The refused proposal is needed in NM to set up this exact moment.

    ReplyDelete
  65. The following remark has NO offense intended:

    Oh, come on people!
    Think with some logic!
If there is NO proposal, then the whole saga will go topsy turvy....aside from that comprehension, Life & Style magazine is a slight delusive, don't you think?

Countless people protest that the magazine provides fallacious information.

I'm sure they arranged this scam TO CAPTURE VULNERABLE READERS' ATTENTION.

Who wouldn't do whatnot to earn the scrutiny of millions of Twilight fans to be in the spotlight?

Anyhoo, that concept of 'no proposal' is entirely irrational and it contravenes the wholly established interpretation by Stephenie Meyer.
Speaking of Stephenie Meyer, how do you think she would react to this? I'm sure she'd be all for opposing it. She will never allow this.

So, I'm pretty sure it's false. Where's the relevance in it?

    Hang in there Twilight lovers.

    - Leah Clearwater :)

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'm not sure I can agree with you Leah. Why would Stephanie let Catherine mutilate Twilight? True Twihards were agast at the film version of our beloved book. Catherine should have focused on the central theme to the book. Love! Instead she made it into a cheesy horror flick with the central characters seeming to "like" each other. Remember, E and B never said their "I love you's" to each other (another CH mistake) and I'm sorry to say, per leaked script, they don't say it NM either. This being said, I wouldn't count on Steph to save the day.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Hmm.
Can we really rely on that 'leaked script'?

Perhaps Stephenie was tight-lipped during the adaptation of Twilight due to the fact that she was an amateur in the area of filming. She probably second-guessed herself protesting against their will. Maybe she didn't want to pry in their work, after all, they were the professionals in that specific field. Maybe she felt that they knew best. It is probable that she might've been overwhelmed in the whole 'Twilight as a film' concept that she let the experts decide.

Now that she has had the experience, maybe she's lost the anxiety to take over the 'boss's chair'. Hopefully, this time she'll be a bit more assertive.

    And, perchance, maybe you're right.

Frankly speaking, I honestly don't know what's real and what's not. Just hypothetically theorizing. Personal opinion, in other words. :)

Really? You've read the 'leaked' New Moon script? Would you be so kind to share where you had access to it? It'd be much appreciated :)

Please, do tell me, if you don't mind.

    Thanks a bunch :)

If you'll be so greatly kind to tell me, or if anyone else takes the consideration in showing me where I can find access to the 'leaked script', PLEASE EMAIL ME>

    Thanks again!

  68. I was riding an emotional rollercoaster while reading NM. Although the leaked draft didn't elicit the same response, and of course it's missing vital pieces (no proposal, no love declaration, very short after Italy bedroom scene, ..) I did enjoy it. I am hoping that MR tweaked the final version though.

I sent you the link Leah. Hope you enjoy it.

  76. I hope they don't change it but I do agree that sometimes things have to chage because it's a movie and not a book. But let's all remember that if the proposal isn't made how is Bella going to counter with what she 'wants' from Edward besides turning her. Bella realizes that one thing that she does want while she's still human and that's the turning point towards the wedding. All those feelings are opened up by her being with Jacob when Edward is gone so I don't think they will change it or it will happen in the beginning of Eclipse so don't worry it has to happen one way or another. Besides, just think how the movie would be if they followed the book word for word...it would be really long and of course, it would never be as good as the book! So let's all wait and see in Nov what really happens! I wish Nov would get here soon!

  77. When I first read this I was angry but as I read everyones comments I decided that if he dosen't propose to Bella at the end of NM i will be ok with that... it will just be that much better when he does in Eclipse. As much as i love the books sometimes they may not transfer on to screen very well.

    ReplyDelete
  78. OMFG
The books are written like a screenplay why change them.
I let the first movie go asthere was little budget blah blah blah.
But this is killing me I understand that somethings have to be lost because of time constraints but why change things and add different stupid things (hold on spider monkey!!!!! sexy but would Edward have done this NNNNNNNOOOOOOO so why add it?)
I know people have complaints with all movies but how can they have gotten it so wrong.........miscasting, poor script, poor acting, lack of make up.
I want to love the movies so much because the books are amazing but Twilight fell really flat and from what I am hearing I am going to be bitterly dissapointed with the NM movie to.
I swear if they @#$% up Breaking Dawn (FAVE) I may kill myself (Ok taking things too far but boy will I be complaining!!!)
By the way its not a proposal its an ultamatum and also a profession that he will never leave her again.
I hope they develope the characters better in NM but not holding my breath...

  79. I just want to say that if there is no proposal it screws up everything . I thought Twilight as movie was okay i have been hoping New Moon will be better but without the proposal it will be bad . Melissa needs to rewrite and add it the proposal or they are going to have some super mad fans why don't they just keep the important parts of New Moon in the movie !

    ReplyDelete
  80. i heard they are gonna make brreaking dawn into two movies

    ReplyDelete
  81. WTF 2 movies? what Breaking and then Dawn at least if they do that they wont have to cut out like 93% of the book as they did wit Twilight.
As for SM approving NM she approved Twilight didnt she and that was a bit of a travisty. What upsets me the most is that they think they were true to the book!

    ReplyDelete
  82. I just looked at that stupid magazine's cover and looked at one page and knew whatever they were going to write in it is a bunch of crap. It was all like the whole Kristen, Rob, and Nikki love triangle and crap like that...so I just won't believe anything from that mag.

    ReplyDelete
  83. JennJam: I couldn't agree more!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I am so upset. There NEEDS to be a proposal. . .its what i look forward to in the book. The movie will suck!!!!!!! First of all there is all of this jacob, and then edwards only actually comes back at the end, and if there is no proposal there. . I DON'T KNOW WHAT IM GOING TO DO!!!!!

Melissa can't change it right? she knows that NONE of the fans want a movie without a proposal. . i mean the fan base is so large that she knows she needs to satisfy them in that way at least. .

IT IS NOT HER BOOK TO CHANGE!
Stephanie wrote it one way, the way its written is the way all of us twilight fans fell in love with it. It would be disastrous to change ittt.

I simply cannot wait for a real proposal in Eclipse, I need somewhat of one in NM. and there is a break in between a longer break in between New Moon and Eclipse Movie... i will not be able to wait

    ReplyDelete
  85. I think there has too be a proposal in the movie because it basically sets the reason for the next three movies. Especially the plane ride home and the huge apollogy from Edward. I hop they keep in the scene at the end of the movie when all the Cullens are talking about how they will handle the Volturi's return. Edward comes up with a dangerous idea and then ckucks a skitx at Bella. That one of my faverioute scenes, I thought it was funny.

If ANYONE know where i can find the leaked script can you please email it too me???

  86. I really hope they do the marry me first thing it completely sets up Eclipse. It is not completely true they dont say i love you in new moon. 15 seconds of the MTV broadcast was leaked and in it Bella tells Edward she loves him but this is before he leaves her so maybe you guyswere referring to something more specific?

    www.mtv.co.uk/film/twilight/news/122501-new-moon-trailer-mtv-movie-awards

So if people are saying that the draft script doesnt have them saying i love you and yet the trailer has Bella saying it maybe they are wrong about the proposal as well???
    Just a thought :).
I guess we may know more when the full trailer is released :P

  87. I was watching an interview that RObert did and he talks about how he went around mock proposing to practice. Seems odd that he would talk and laugh about that if he isn't going to have to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  88. There better be a proposal happening in new moon or im gonna start a fight how could there not be a proposal in new moon it's just three easy words " Marry me, first" how hard is that

    ReplyDelete
  89. Would someone kindly share the link with me too!?

  92. He didn't even ask Bella to marry him until Eclipse..what the hell is everyone getting so worked up for ?!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Oh my goodness it is hilarious how you all get so worked up about this. As if a lack of a proposal would ultimately make a difference - maybe you'll only see it 499 times instead of 500? Maybe if you spent more time worrying about your own life than the fictional antics of fictional characters in a fictional story you would have a little romance of your own to fill the obvious void in your hearts.

  94. what the cheese??? there has to be a proposal! i know there is one in eclipse but also in NEW MOON! i mean there is a reason why the twilight saga is a WORLD WIDE BEST SELLER! so why do they have to change its brilliant script?! jeez...cmon hollywood! & why isnt stephenie meyer doing anything about this crazyness?

    ReplyDelete
  95. there better be a proposal or the whole damn saga is going to be ruined and wont make sence....where is a link to read the script?

    ReplyDelete
  96. I know its been a while since anybody posted, but i was wondering if someone would be willing to send me the script at my email, Neecy77@yahoo.com
im extremely curious to read it because im such a harsh critic on books turned into movies.... it'd be awesome if i could read the script!

how do you guys get your hands on it anyways? Isnt it like, impossible?
