AnnaLynne Dishes on Passing Up Role of Heidi in New Moon

MTV's got the scoop on why AnnaLynne passed up New Moon:
But cut to May, and McCord will not be appearing in the film. It turns out that in the process of negotiating a part in the film, she eventually made the decision to drop out. "There was scheduling conflicts and I really just needed a break," she told MTV News on Thursday. "I worked two years, I came straight off 'Nip/Tuck' and on to '90210' and it's wonderful to work, but I needed some R&R."

McCord, who described herself as a "hardcore" fan of the series, said that although she decided to pass on "New Moon," that doesn't mean she didn't want to do the film.

"I was [upset] 'cause I really love the film, all of them, the books and everything and I have a lot of friends on the movies," she said. "But in the end, I got to go to Europe for two months ... so I can't say that I'm too pissed."
I would be pissed. Who wouldn't want to star in a guaranteed blockbuster? Whatev.

  1. Weird. No hard core fan would pass up the chance. I'd live on Red Bull and coffee before I'd pass up NM.

  2. I liked her in nip tuck. But in 90210, i think shes blah! Shes better at more realistic raw drama, then that pillowy 90210 stuff. She would have made a good vampire. But to tell you the truth, i like when they use new people i have never heard of.Its better for the movie.

  3. She has an unusually large head. I'm not buying her story, either someone better came along or she was never seriously being considered in the first place.

  4. I don't mean to sound rude but she must really be an idiot if she passed up the role of Heidi. Especially if she really is a hard core fan as she claims to be.

  6. kellan lutz is probably the reason why she got an audition in the first place...

  7. you know....I pictured Rosalie to be more like Annalynne McCord rather than Nikki Reed. Not that I have anything against Reed...but...she just doesn't seem very Rosalie-ish. McCord would've been perfect for the role.

  8. Please, I doubt she turned it down. More like it probably wasn't even offered to her.

I agree Anonymous....she does look more like Rosalie than Nikki does. IMO.

  9. I guess she couldn't be that big a fan if she'd rather visit Europe.

She is what I imagined as Rosalie. But I love Nikki's bitchiness. I wouldn't want to cross Nikki...yikes.

  10. She needed some R&R?!? How difficult would this job be? Heidi is in 1 scene, wearing tight clothes with 1 line, doesn't sound too taxing to me. Definitely more to the story.

  11. Oh please what a load of crap. She needed a break? She would film for literally like 1 day if she got the role as Heidi. I'm so glad she didn't get the part though, an international model or Naomi from 90210? Yeah hi, I think we know the answer.

  12. she is probably banking on getting the bigger roles in the later parts of Twilight. The part of Heidi is relatively small.

  13. McCord was never considered for the part. She's full of bullshit.
