I totally don't like this 'do, even though it is probably more historically accurate during the civil war times than his previous style. I don't care too much, I'm not really looking at his hair anyway ;)
I agree with what everyone's saying, it does seem historically correct--however, while they can't cut their hair (unless they want it that way forever; it won't grow back) they can style it however they want, so there's no reason he has to look like he's still in the Confederate army unless he wants to. Surely Alice wouldn't allow that. ;)
bisforxbeauty, when I first saw Twilight at the theatre, I went with a friend who'd already seen it, and when Jasper walked into the cafeteria, I cracked up, leaned over to my friend and said, "I didn't know Edward Scissorhands was in this movie!!"
I later told her that whenn Edward took Bella 'to his place,' I fully expected to see the shrubs of the Cullen house clipped into perfect animal shapes. :)
Jasper's hair is my sort-of comic relief since the first movie. Also his make up, he looks kinda green instead of white-pale. Don't get me wrong, I love Jasper (and Jackson is HOT) but, seriously... :D
Ha! Ha! Once again, glad I had no liquids in my mouth. TWA, I love the My Little Pony reference and I really love the hobbit references. Ha! He looks pretty normal with his normal, brown hair--maybe him being a fake blonde is the freaky part?
Lol - I just saw you blogged this! It's uncanny right?! :) P.s. I'm going to head over to the Jamie show in London this Thurs - will keep you posted ;)
I like his Twilight hair better for many reasons the Electrocuted hairstyle paralleled with the fact that he "looks like he's in pain", it was Perfect! Also he looked, Hotter, & more Modern.
They didn't change his hairstyle so he looks civil war-ish. If people haven't noticed They curled his locks downward instead of up & out to hide his Baldness xD People forget he's bald down there
I never thought I would long for the days of Jasper's "Twilight" hair. This is too Edith Bunker from All in the Family. If you're < 30 years old, look it up. :)
It does look slightly more Civil Warish. Although, if they want it to be really Civil era it should be parted on the side and slicked over then curly on the bottom. Hmm they should do his hair more like Ashley Wilkes in Gone With The Wind... Here's a random thought if vampires looks are frozen in time when they are "converted" shouldn't Jasper have some sort of facial hair? I don't think soldiers in that time period would have been too concerned about shaving. I think if I were focused on transporting women and children out of a war zone, I might not stop to shave. So, you would think he would have at least a little stubble....
Ha ha ha ha ha. Poor Jacksper. Why did they fluff him out like that!
ReplyDeletehaha! I liked the other style! This one looks so fake!
ReplyDeletePoor thing. Historicaly though the men from the Civil War Era did like to puff up the hair some. Maybe that was the idea?.lol
ReplyDeleteThey should give him a 'baby powder aura' like Pig Pen has on Charlie Brown, but mock a powdered wig with Jasper's hair. :)
ReplyDeleteIn Twilight, when he was meeting Bella in the Cullen house, he SCREAMED Edward Scissorhands. Without a doubt!

However traumatizing I find this similarity, I still have a crush on Jackson.

ReplyDeleteHe reminds me of the hobbits from Lord of the Rings
ReplyDeleteHaha that's too funny, he does resemble a hobbit from Lord of the Rings!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like Samwise Gamgee from Lord of the Rings.

ReplyDeleteHe reminds me of someone from a 70's movie.
Katie, indeed, Alice wouldn't allow that, ha ha!

ReplyDeletereminds me of tom cruise in interview with a vampire towards the end haha
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers' and expect him to break into song with jazz hands & a box step.

ReplyDeleteNooooooooooooo! Jacksper looks terrible with that wig! I don't like it. It looks like old lady hair. *Cries* He not as hot! :(
ReplyDelete...they're just making a huge (poofy) effort to ensure jackspuuur wont radiate more hottness than r.patz....

ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that likes the new do or what? XD The last hairdo reminded me of uncooked ramen, I like this one better :3!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like the guy in the first Harry Potter movie who sells Harry the wand!

The wig is horrid. I don't understand how they can put that on him. There has to be something better out there.
