Peter Facinelli Cancels His Flight to Spend Time With Soldiers & Their Families at the Fort Lewis, WA Base Twilight DVD Signing

Lucky fan Becky G. had the opportunity to meet Peter Facinelli during his visit to Fort Lewis, WA, and she tells us first-hand what a wonderful and generous guy Peter is:

Friday at 7pm: Peter Facinelli aka Dr. Cullen attended a free screening of Twilight at Fort Lewis Washington base. Theater attendance was free to all military and their dependents. After the screening, Peter did a Q&A for all attending.

Saturday from 9:30am to 10:30pm: Peter stayed to do autographs and pictures. He did this without lunch or dinner he spent quality time with his fans and there was no limit on how many items you wanted signed. He also took pictures with his fans as well, and Peter canceled his flight tonight due to the overwhelming amount of fans that were in attendance; he refused to leave until all fans were able to have their DVDs signed.

Peter said he was given a choice of coming to a DVD signing in Chicago or Fort Lewis , and he chose Fort Lewis as he wanted to thank soldiers and families for their service. I witnessed Peter thank and shake every soldiers hand that came thru the line I commend peter for his time. He is truly the most classy and giving of any of the cast of the Twilight series. I personally stood in line from 11am to 8pm to get a signature and behind me were probably 100 more fans.

Peter, you are amazing to me I am touched thank you for thinking of us soldiers and family members.

Becky, thanks for sharing your story!

  5. I don't know if you frequent lion_lamb on LJ or not, but my uncle is actually stationed at Fort Lewis and had brought his wife's cousin and some of her lady friends on base for the signing. He (my uncle) was waiting in line at Seattle's Best Coffee while they waited in line. This is where it gets insane: Peter walked up to my uncle and asked if he could hop in front of him because he had hundreds of things to sign so of course my uncle said yes. Peter then proceeded to pick up the tab for his and my uncles coffee. How awesome is that?

  9. When Peter came to AAFES HQ (Army and Air Force Exchange Service - your BX/PX) to talk about Twilight several months ago, I could tell he was a class act.

  13. I was very impressed the way he handled everyone at the PX. He took his whole day to sign books, autographs, and DVD's. My girlfriend and I were at the PX from 0530-1030 til we got to see him and he was so sweet and very "down to earth." He didn't have to start signing til 1200 but even even started earlier and he could have left at 1400 but didn't because he want to make sure everyone got to meet him. Now that's Dedicated!! Thanks Again
